k since i stopped pretty much all physical activity for about 6 - 7 months now i feel like shit.
i noticed that i'm getting sicker a lot more often and it lasts a way longer time.
so i decided that i really should start trying to get fit and physically active again but i don't know exactly what i should do...
im really skinny and i don't really want to burn fat or anything
ideas?

Weight training. Start off easy and work your way into it.

Also monitor your diet pretty strictly:
Make sure youre getting a lot of cleaner foods, ie: low-fat meats (chicken, fish) and tons of veggies, and drink tons of water.

Also, add in a little bit of cardio. 20-25 minutes every couple to few days in between weights.

Are you new to a program?

Do you want to do this at a gym or at home?

Do you want some help setting something up?

Okay, you'll need some basic things to do at home, unless you want to put an entire setup together.

Cheapest:

Adjustable plate loaded dumbbells 5-50lbs $94.00
An inflatable gymball $30.00
A skiprope: $5-15.00
A book or 2 to teach: $10-30.00 (1 for exercise, 1 for diet)

To get going the possibilities are really endless.
