I did something like that on my old beast:

I think I was out to UC twice with the corolla before. I almost figured I'd call it the hulk, you'll see why in a while ;)

anschutz_93
What are you doing for ignition, are you going to do an edis system and megasquirt or just cut a hole for the distributor and use a 20V ecu?

You need some bling velocity stacks to make this thing baller

mot_bot
Ya, im gonna cut a hole and build a box to bolt on over the dizzy, then I'm gonna use mr.johns water line fix (off club4ag). I should be ordering the polished velocity stacks soon :D

mot_bot
Anyways Last night I got the engine striped down almost, Im using Mr.Johns(club4ag) idea and using the 16v water pump etc.. so a little work needs to be done on the head. While Im there I might aswell clean everything up to.

While I was stripping it down there were a couple nice surprises. First I don't know if this is good or not but a different timing belt, It says "power" on it lol.

Next two surprises were pretty sweet I pulled the tranny off and found a exedy clutch, then a while later wwhen I took off the cluth I found a Toda flywheel, Score!

arabian_ryda
are u painting that engine bay? that babyblue looks nastie

mot_bot
for sure its gonna be a nice glossy black

Altezza
Cars progress is coming along nicely keep it up

EK9Hatch
Looking good man! What do these put out for power? Sorry...not very knowledgeable with those motors.

Jamie

95IntegraRS
Blacktop 20V is rated @ 170 horsepower.

mot_bot
turns out that the exedy is the oem clutch for the engine, eh w/e still got the Toda flywheel :D

for power They put out 165hp @7800rpm (according to Club4ag) There not powerhouses but it is a nice jump of 35hp from my 16 valve, plus an extra valve per cylinder  not tooo mention the huge difference on number of km's haha

I think my old 16v had 350 000 on it

mot_bot
I havent been able to work on the project too much lately  but I recently got some stuff, and ordered a vertex knock off kit (finally some aero)

T3 nrca's and velocity stacks

Fitment of wheels after nrca install, its ok i guess:

this is actually the rear wheels mocked up, the fronts will have an additional +5mm offset so Im gonna have to get some spacers, need moar flush ;)

and to show whats hiding under the finger bandage, muahaha getting fingers squished between metal at work sucks.

more to come soon, Im gonna go bead blast some shiz like my throttle body's at a family friends shop soon, So parts will be cleaned up good. Engine shots soon, it will be blingin ;)

mot_bot
Well I have been to lazy to take pictures and upload them, so heres how it is tonight. The engine should be mounted in tomorrow night weeee!

Engine bay painted black and hole cut in firewall for distributor too fit.

Hello Shifter! (I will be building a box that will be bolted on from inside)

ChromeDragon

fartcannon

mot_bot

mot_bot
Wiring is tedious! I have 2 of 3 ecu plugs traced back and labelled and then some more wiring lol

shit load of wires!

chewy
nardi steering wheels are ballinnnn...wiring everything up is so harsh have fun lol...goodluck!

mot_bot

lol you still owe me a ride in the mr2 and I guess I will have to give you a ride in mine, so I guess I have to get her done haha. Its basically just the wiring im trying to get sorted out I have everything labeled and traced back I just have to do some cutting and splicing, then all the vacuum lines and little shit.

P.S. we have to set up another BBQ just like the last one and hopefully it doesnt rain. we had a perfect setup last time (except the parking) we even had a lot of people ready to show up. we just have to do it over again :fingersx:

ice86
dude ya man! last time would have been a blast everyone was gonna come mind you it was fathers day, but the fathers are welcome to come too ahha since reuben is going to be one soon

and he came when we left and it died down..

but ya man i will set it up again on teh boards

mot_bot
I got to the actual wiring part tonight, uggh almost half way through the wiring, of course I had to leave the part of the wiring that is confusing to the end.
