Stratotech Videos - Z Car Club July 5th - Click HERE for Original Thread

I saw a number of video cameras at the event, so if you have a video clip please add them to this post.

I highly recommend the Z car club event. The event was run on the full course and all went well (read = no pylons). This is as close to a race track as you are going to get in these parts .......... As much as we all love dodging cones at Griesbach there is no comparison.

The event was another great success! A great turn out and a phenomenal group of guys! True enthusiast!

---------------------------

Chasing a 911

This was my first run out. Super nice guy at the wheel of that 911 on this day, but unfortunately I had him on the power to weight ratio. Overall it was a pretty conservative first run. Captured a couple of laps but relatively uneventful.

Chasing a Lotus Elise

This was much more fun. This little elise is one quick little car. Jeff is a phenomenal driver and loves to push this thing to the limit. I was pushing him pretty hard by the 4th lap and his tires were getting pretty slippery. The Elise gets loose on him around the 5 minute mark (turn 7 I believe) and saves it quite well. It looks like the next time we meet he will have the supercharged Lotus so I will need to increase the boost for sure.

Chasing a GT3

I was looking forward to this. I had no idea a GT3 would be at this event and had my car dialed in for 16-17 psi of boost. In its current setup I would only have ~325rwhp available and I figured I would have enough to keep most vehicles of my back (Although the thought of a Z06 being at the event had me worried)......

I new I was a good 50 horses short of the GT3 on this day and it shows as it would pull away from me coming out of turn 1 like I was standing still.

Unfortunately I only managed to capture the first couple of laps on video....By the last couple of laps I was getting pretty close to Peter but on the second last lap I lost a hose from the brake booster....... and had to come in.

I think I will need to re-tune my setup and run 19-20 psi for the next events. Just in case... you never know what is going to show up.

SVT in august. I can't wait. :D

here's my partial-lap video taken with my digicam as a passenger in the Focus:

Focus Frenzy

I was trying to 'lead' the image into the corners, good fun.

Regards.

Straightpipe
I wonder where all the video and pictures from the speedway lapping and time attack events end up. I see all kinds of video and still cameras out there.

Wookey
The owner of the GT3 wouldnt happen to be Peter Spencer, would it?

Those videos with the camera on the door are great.

The wind noise kinda ruins it but the view is great.

Uhmmm that is odd. You should try rolling up the windows when you have the camera set up like that.

:D
