I didn't really have the time to read through all 5 pages of the thread on Beyong, but does anyone know what happened? I know a car accident, but how/when/where etc?

Condolences to friends and family!

I feel like crying

:(

redbaron303
that's how fragile life is....

He was hit head on by some asshole that couldn't wait to pass an 18wheeler in deep fog.

I'm not sure when/where this happened but it was very recent in the paper the last couple of days

Fog blamed as head-on collision kills two

Two people were killed and two others injured Tuesday in a head-on collision near Innisfail.

The crash happened at about 7 am about 13 kilometers east of Innisfail on Highway 590.

An eastbound pickup truck was attempting to pass a semi-trailer when it collided head-on with a westbound car.

A passenger of the truck, and the lone occupant of the car, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries while a second passenger was trasnported to Innisfail Hospital as a precautionary measure.

Weather is considered to be a factor. Visibility was limited due to fog. traffic was detoured around the scene for several hours.

Well I was kinda saving my post, but I decided to post now.

He was a great friend and was one of those people that was easy to like. We had good times helping with each others cars and going out and such. He worked sooooo hard to make his 240, 2 years in fact. He took the whole car apart, replaced bolts with new bolts, painted all kinds of parts, polished, cleaned, etc. He had so much patience and a strong will to carry on no matter what problems where going on. He was one of the hardest working persons I have ever met. He was respected by many for these reasons. It's hard for me to know that he did not even get to drive such a phenominal car that he was building. It was going to be the best modded import in Calgary for sure, even Alberta perhaps. People may say it was just a dumb car, but that car was Orrins life, and his major goal and I'm sure people here can respect that.

His family wishes that the car to be completed as a tribute to him. With the assistance of his parents, brother, close friends we are going to get the car finished. Karl has offered his shop and tools free to me to continue the project and get the car fully operational. But right now I need time to digest the recent events and worry about the car stuff later.

The community have lost a great person and he will be deeply missed.

Good bye Orrin, we will miss you.

They are setting up some sort of fund for people to help donate to the car, and they also have a STARS donation set-up.

I just realised this guy was the dude with the sweetest S13 ever. Damn that sucks. Did he die in his car? If he did at least he passed away in something he was obviously passionate about.

bono
Louis I believe he died in another auotmobile and his project S13 is being taken over by his friends and family who will finish it and then take it to shows to represent his passion for the car.

Has anybody been following how to send a donation to the Complete the Car fund?

ManHunter
I believe we will be able to donate at the Beyond vs v8less meet in Red Deer this weekend...
