Lebanon Police Drive Dodge Chargers - Click HERE for Original Thread

blondy
My friend was just telling me that "the force" has been outfitted with some brand new Dodge Chargers

Rear shot...up to now he has only been behind them...guess that's a good thing loool

The US sent about 300 Dodge Chargers...black only...fully equipped.. light bars...dome light...front protection rails....police siren with speakers...

Not like ones we would buy off the lot though...the interior is cheaper and there is no central console instead there is a black aluminum rail...and the gear shift is on the steering wheel column just like the "old school American cars" Automatic...heavy duty suspension...3.5 liters V8 engine...the rims are very "old school" too

Red & white stripes...fluorescent at night...ISF logo on the hood 999 the emergency number on the front doors...rear doors and rear window have the internet address and 999 and police...well some of the cars have 112 just depends because in some areas in Lebanon 999 is still offline

The plan is to send about 50 more Chargers to the North....mainly Nahr el Bared area the plan is to have the ISF there

The Charger seems to be the car for many police departments these days...Trenton NJ dept...Georgia State Patrol...PA police dept...Virginia...Dallas...Martha's Vineyard lool

Up until now even though most police cars in Lebanon are American...they were usually Fords. At one time they had also added Explorer 4x4 and Nissan Pathfinders...this year it's Dodge Chargers

:)

eps had a few demo police versions of the charges

The Stig
You can buy the police package. Upgraded oil cooler, sway bars, and the interior is just a bare bones console - no radio, just a flat panel to mount radio/computer shit on. Smaller wheels, "HD" brakes.. and a few other minor bits.

Police Chargers have been around for over 2 years.

Thank you and I realize that...I thought it was interesting that even in Lebanon they are now using Chargers as police vehicles

Think it is kind of cool to see Mopars being used all around the world

Thanks :)

hontuner
