Need Help/Advice on recently powdercoated rims - Click HERE for Original Thread

Mr.CTR97
Hey guys im in need of some guidance.
I just got my Te37's powder coated and they
didnt come out to my liking.

Before.

504$ Later...

I had a friend put them up next to my car
and they looked really cheap.
My question is: where can i get them painted or powder coated to the original color?

or. suggest a color that would suit my civic.
i was thinking maybe gunmetal?

Gross. Was that a shops attempt at a color match?

Go white. Blue with white is hot. Gunmetal/black is played out.

No it wasn't an attempt.
when i came in the 1st day i put the color next to the rim
n it was a pretty close match :dunno:
was i ever wrong :(

I've had white rims FOREVER.
n im planning on keeping my itr set.

I wanted to do something to stand out.

Neon Green? :dunno:

But Seriously,

Straight up fire engine red, and then do and engine dress up kit in the same colour.

Mr.CTR97

i do like the color of takata green..
but i dont think it would suit my car very well.
since i have red seats.. red blue green 2much

Did you see how chipped/peeling they were in the first pic, or do you not have eyes?

My vote is a glossy black!

As tokes stated..refer to the before picture.
i bought the rims for a cheap price and the owner before
had sprayed wheel acid to try n remover the clear coat
but it ate through more than that.

I have seen this a few times. When you select you powdercoat always go with a high gloss or it looks like you sprayed them with a can of Canadian Tire laquer. It makes a world of difference. You may want to have them media blasted and re-painted with a good base/clear.

flatboy
What about clearing over the powder coat with a clear super gloss powder coat?

Mr.CTR97
i took them back
n got them gun metal
w/ a shiny clear coat.
ill have pics tomorrow
thankyou everybody for your input.

Soulfly
I'm GLAD you didn't get Red..

Also.. It looked like they were soapy.. not all chipped and stuff.. Sorry for the earlier comment. :p
