So I was in speedtech today and radomly decided I think the STI needs an exhaust
I bought an Invidia Uppipe
Invidia V3 divorced downpipe wastegate catless
HKS Hipower Cat back exhaust
Cobb accessport Version 2
The STI is still my daily driven winter beater car etc. But i have been looking at upgrading the turbo. I do have a big snowboard trip planned where I will be driving down to Colorado, then upto whistler, and touring the rockies before coming home for a month or two. I want something that is reliable not horrible on gas, but will still be fun for the amount of work i have to put into changing it out without needing fuel mods like pump and injectors etc. The FP Green and FP 20g have both caught my eye, but donot know whether they fit my criteria, or should I stay stock turbo wise? |

| I'd keep it stock. More reliable. |

| If you can find a wrx or forester/legacy xt owner who will pay you a decent price for the turbo then go for it. |

Obviously you have limitless funds, so, mod the shit out of it and if it breaks down buy another one wherever you are. You have the money right, anyone who can have an STI as a 'winter beater' can afford another when it breaks down. |

| You are going to be the owner of the loudest STI in town if you actually install the parts. Not really the greatest for a DD. |

Its not limitless funds it is that I have a project / toy car as well for special occasions when it is done. Technically my toy is alot shittier than my DD. I still want the ride to be somewhat practical hense keeping it relatively easy as far as mods go. But a bigger turbo sounds like alot of fun. |

You may want to refrain from calling your STI a 'winter beater' then, comes across as an arrogant, Im the king of the world comment. Most people when they say winter beater, are actually driving a winter beater aka rust bucket, aka $500 car, aka mismatched colors, aka don't look at me Im embarassed, aka please do not break down on me prayer every morning, aka my other car run's 10 sec's etc. |

What I consider a beater is something I beat on, I drive it hard everytime i get behind the wheel. I give it shit and abuse every chance i get. We just have different opinions on the term |

| If you seen the way this thing was treated and the noises it makes when you drive it.. you would call it a beater too. |
