Good Project car? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I'm looking for something thats number 1 is CHEAP (under 2000). As long as it is rust free I don't care. I want something that is cheap to modify as well, and I would prefer RWD.

I don't care if its common or un common as long as parts are findable. This will be a car to learn on, and something in a couple years could be respectable without killing the bank account.

What car would you guys choose?

AE92 and umm... thats all that comes to mind...

If you are into domestics F-body Mustangs can be pretty killer.

From the 4. My best bet for a good project is nissan 240sx. you can get it I think under 2000. Also the parts of it are easy to find.

I would never get a used BMW.

Also, I just bought a 240 (silvia) so I would rather do that up then an older one.

Mustang could be fun, I would just have to save money for a 94+ since I hate the style of the 93-. Mustang would definitely be the most fun IMO. Plus I could find the hottest gas station attendant in the city!

go for the gxl fc rx-7
all you want in a progect car
bad on gas
great handling
always needs to be fixed in someway
lots of potential
and cheap to buy
plus its rwd

He did not say exclusively rwd :)

I have taken a liking to the ae92 and there is quite a bit of aftermarket support and killer factory engine swaps (20V itb, Supercharged, Turbo'd ect). There's also quite a bit of sleeper appeal to this car.

If its just a project car you could get a decent Integra/civic shell then slowly build it up.

The problem with cheaper RWD imports is they are all ancient (10-15y/o) so rust free isn't likely to happen.

what about a mid 80 celica??? ;) shit ya can have it for free, plust the remains of another one...lol

for rwd, mustangs are fun and make great project cars. the aftermarket for them is huge and i just happen to have a 94 5.0l mustang for sale.

rx-7 is a good choice

mk3 supra can usually be had for very cheap and the drive train can make a hell of alot of power and take abuse.

I have a GX RX7 for sale if you're interested,

why waste money on another vehicle, why dont you mod your gsr or save for when your s14 gets here

note: dont use superglue on your nexr vehicle :)
