R33 Nissan Skyline Interest ? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Mr_William
Just wanting to see the interest level on the R33 Skyline ( GTS-T RB25DET Stock ) models locally guys. Going to auction and a few dealers next week and looking at picking up a few for stock. For those that would be interested, what is your preference in the following areas:

Price Range ?
Stock or modified condition ?
Would you like to purchase the vehicles with or without compliance package ?

Any comments are much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Well I've already matured out of the JDM car thing and if I did chose to buy one it would be as a toy, definitely not a daily driver, but if I were my preferences would be:

Price: 12-17k @ my door

Milage: <50k km verified

Condition: Mostly stock, possibly things like suspension and wheels (decent wheels, not something I could pick up for $1300 online...) but nothing major. I would choose a $15000 mint stock car over a $15000 600whp drift machine any day. Definitely no dents/scratches, nice interior and not the worn out trashed look most of these cars have. Things like screws holding gauges in the dash, ripped/scuffed seats, cracked trim ect are a major turn off. I would rather pay 25% more for a car with a decent interior than a shit one. Engine mod's aren't really a plus to me, sure I like the extra performance but I would prefer to spend more money and do it myself (aka right) than go mad Asian and end up with a engine which goes pop.

Compliance package: I'm assuming that this is everything needed to pass the OOP? If that is the case I would like it to be included. Charge me an extra 2k or something but then it HAS to pass the OOP on your coin. Another way is you get to look at the car first, fix what is needed then send it out. If it passes after you have gotten it up to par you get an extra $1500 or something. Many of us do not have the time to work on our own vehicles, nor deal with OOP bullshit. For those who are really busy with work/life, we don't mind paying more for ease of ownership.

I guess it would have been about two years ago that I was interested in buying a JDM but a couple things that I didn't like about what I experienced were:
-inspection sheets. I can't read japanese. Is there anyone who could translate them?
-PICTURES!!! High resolution pictures are needed and many different angles. The shitty pictures from the auction site don't help much. My car looks absolutely mint from 10' away, in reality its a DD and far from it. You can't tell much about a car from shitty camera phone quality images.
-History: I realize that most of these cars are bought at auction, but is there anyway to get some sort of paper work for these cars? I'm sure they print receipts/work orders in Japan, its nice to know when minor things like timing belts, turbo's, engine rebuilds/swaps were done...
