No spark with Talon - Click HERE for Original Thread

brownracer
Has any one had a spark problem with their 1g talon?? My car has been out of commission about a year now, iv replaced the CAS Sensor, iv tried replacing the coil pack, sparkplugs and wires.
Still no spark though, i know im getting fuel and air mixture but no spark.

If anyone has had this problem, and has gotten it fixed let me know what you did to fix it.. at this point i need suggestions.

Any advice is helpful.

I just want this to start, so i can sell it..

Thanks.

Check all of the engine harness, ECU, and coil pack ground points. Make sure one hasn't come loose or broken off ect.

Eclipser
Power transistor. Check the plug. They like to crack and work their way off.

I have checked the power transistor, i took it out completly and checked it for any cracks or any signs of damage, there was none and i checked the plug that plugs into it, everything looks fine. I placed it back and tried starting it, and still the same problem.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I will offer some help if you arent completely isolated out in nowheresville. I have to see the car but I know I can figure it out. The power transistor is the big failed component. Also there are huge issues with timing belt failures. belt looks fine but balance belt failed, causing main belt to jump. Does it turn over at normal rate or is the engine turning real fast? I have fixed many cars with this engine in them over the years. There is also the MFI relay. Like I say, I can have a look at it some evening and help ya out. I do believe I even have test parts still in my tool box.
