poss blown fuse? fuse #52 (20amp) in engine compartment fuse block, or #25 (7.5amp) in under dash fuse block. Could also be a bad brk switch. Aside from that poss malfunction in the interlock control unit or switch. also pull the shifter cover and check if the wires for park pin switch are broken at the base of the shifter. Without physically seeing the car thats as much help as I can offer.

^^^same, check the simple stuff, and if that fails its off to shop for the car.

Some cars have a sensor that requires the brake to be pushed down or it won't let it out of park... it could be that a sensor wire got knocked off or needs changing

:dunno:

Good luck

Damn man this happened to me before when I was fucking around with some wires under dash and unhooked a wire from some random small box in the top left corner. Don't know if you were messing around with that but I know it wouldn't let me bring it out park when I did that!

ron1
thanks for the replies i'll try to figure it out before i head to the shop.

glad too see it was a cheap and easy fix for ya. Thats one of the biggest issues with electrical diag, is not knowing for sure what fuse powers what circuits. I just looked up the diagram on all data and relayed it to you.

ron1
thanks again,
hopefully this is not a reoccuring issue
i'm keepin' some fuses and a screwdriver handy just in case
