Picking up a new 4th GEN!!!!! - Click HERE for Original Thread

fartcannon
OHHHHH shit, on saturday i take possesion of my new lude. Its purple lol. However, it has an r33/34 not sure which one front bumper, some side skirts, and a rear bumper. I was going to say Ryan you can buy the rear bumper and side skirts off me for pretty cheap and Tyler if you are interested you can have the front bumper since it would fit the front mount nicely.

Anyway, its an h23 auto  but i already have a five speed swap lined up. Got everything i need for next to nothing since its one of my co workers selling me the stuff.

I plan on doing an h23vtec!!!! Block is good and i have the built head already. I am thinking i might get some darton liners, high comp pistons, and some eagle rods. Do a whole bottom end since it would cost only about 2k and i could run some huge nitrous shots if i really wanted to. I might just send it to laskey like tyler did. I am not 100% sure which compression i am going to run yet but its going to be high

I am pretty stokked. I'll post pictures when i pick the car up of course.

2ndgenlude
have to see a picture of this beast lol. as for the front, nah. martin has a free r33 front he said he would give me but its way too ricy.

fartcannon
yah, its pretty ricey but i remembered you said you might get one so i just threw it out there . Pictures will be up tonight. I think i am going to snag a few shortly just for kicks.

The biggest issue is the ignition is completely fucked. I have to get honda to replace it and all the door/trunk locks. It will cost probably about $700 in parts. I will do all the installing since its pretty straight forward.

NightmareMX6
My rear just got fucked over thanks to the city of edmonton. I am thinking of a new rear, what style is this one? If I like it I could trade you my stock bumper for yours, straight up.

fartcannon
ok sweet. There is a crack on the bumper. I just found out that today when i went to look at it again. I forgot my camera though lol. Do you have side skirts? if you want them i'll do a straight trade for the rear bumper.

Beagles
damnit adam, get out your crayola crayons and draw us that lude! then put it up for us to lau.... admire!

fartcannon
Here it is. Its a project thats for sure

its hard to see but the windows are mirror tint.....eww

look closely, the steering coloum is completely fucked

fartcannon
ohhh and ryan, if you want to trade the side skirts for your rear bumper let me know

STiPWR
That thing looks pretty beat up......... Going to need some TLC thats for sure. I'd be grinding out those rust spots ASAP.

fartcannon
fuck grinding, its getting taken to a shop as soon as i get the steering coloum fixed. I am going to have it properly done. Completely cut out and new sheet metal bent to shape and rewelded in. Then i will be painting it Honda blackburn black :D

This project is going to be quiet the project but i have all winter to do it and will finally be able to afford all the necessary parts without using any form of credit :D

tcpx
daamn another one, how much did you end up paying for it if you dont mind me asking?

fartcannon
im not letting that secret out until i pick it up. Lets just say.....very cheap. It has alot of problems buts its all good. Just means more fun for me :D and headaches.

fartcannon
WOOT!!! I just sold my car to my brother. Now i get to continue to see my old car and know its in good hands and i get my money  Just thought i would give that little update

Beagles
I still dont understand this adam... You sell your almost? perfectly good and strong Prelude.... to buy a beat up one with tons of issues....

I mean u must have only paid 1500 -2000 grand or something. (Im assuming, that the difference between what u sold yours for, and what u paid for this one is high enough that u can get just as good if not better with that difference?)

 that is where you are wrong. You are wrong in every single part of your statement. I really didn't give any details of the car ;) Yes it needs alot of work, but.....(you'll understand why i am buying it very soon)

fartcannon
Carfax came back spotless and exactly as the owner described!!!!

4thGenLude
holy fuck

Beagles
ok adam... all i can imagine right now, is like some kind of super vehicle with like a 500 shot of Nos, and a turbo the size of opra.

On another note, if every single part of my statement is wrong... then u must have gotten it for such a great deal that it was as if u stole the vehicle, but felt bad and left some cash behind.

fartcannon
hahahahaha felt bad but left some cash behind

damn... thats gonna add up...

2ndgenlude
well until the bodywork is done i guess we have a new club ricer

Beagles
^^^^^lmao.

We should all make Adam a giant spoiler for it!

fartcannon
lol, body work is getting done this summer. There is no way in hell i would let it sit in its current condition. Keegan, i already had a ricer spoiler. I bought it by accident. Everyone knows the story already, someone else can tell you about it.

you would think that but i know it will never go above 10k in costs. That includes a fully built block (i already have a built head) from before. If i don't build the block i can't see it being more than 5k at most and it will be in better condition than my current lude. It's hard to believe but in due time you guys will see

I am. This is partly why i bought this car. I am having a shop cut the rust out and weld new sheet metal in like i mentioned earlier. Sanding is something anybody can do. I worked at 3 dealerships and every dealership owned a body shop or two. What i came to realize was most of the body men came in half drunk or got shit faced or high the night before and could pop out 5k paint jobs. Pretty much anybody can do the prep work if you take your time.

However, i have never sprayed a car and this is where i plan on trying to do it. I am extremely confident in my abilities so i am going to attempt it. If i screw up i can keep retrying or just pay herberts 1k to do the spray after all the prep is done. Just by doing the prep work myself i save thousands.

Its a project like i said. The goal of this is to build my motor, do the suspension, do the body work, pretty much fully restore the car by myself. I have done everything minus body work and the motor. Just if you are wondering i will not be assembling the internals (i don't trust myself) but i will be putting it all together.

Gargoyle25
who will be assembling the internals?

fartcannon
if it gets built, laskey. Fuck every shop in edmonton. I am not going to pay 4k to have it fucked up in edmonton. I am going to pay 4k and have it done right, the first time ;) with that build, i could easily run a 150 shot of nitrous if i felt like it lol, even a 200.

NightmareMX6
Adam I am going to pass on the bumpers and sides. I like my combat bumper more and I already have those side.

fartcannon
:( ok. I'll put them in the fs section then

who's that and where are they?

fartcannon
the first person to ever sleeve a honda engine and support over 50 psi of boost. Needless to say, one of the best places in the world to have an engine built. That is why Tylers car is a steal at 15k for everything it has in it.

Gargoyle25
where are they located?

fartcannon
california

Gargoyle25
so you mail your block to them? how much would that cost?

fartcannon
300-400ish for shipping and duties. I may be wrong on where. I seem to remember cali though.

Gargoyle25
i'm not expert or anything, but from what i understand it's not just the sleeves that can cause a block to fail from boost, other things like you head studs and gaskets play a large part

about how much would the resleeving cost on top of that?

Beagles
definately not a cheap job lol.

Gargoyle25
how much would resleeving cost at a place here in town?

fartcannon
the exact same except so far every engine that has come out of the shops that people claim are good have blown up within a year.

Jesus... shipping out the engine would probably be worth it lol... but if i ever did that, id probably ask them for a full rebuild (Unless they stick to blox)

Gargoyle25
find out where they are and stuff, maybe i'll see about sending the engine i might buy out there, geez, thats a lot of maybes

Gargoyle25
never mind, they are in California

http://www.laskeyracing.com/shop/shipping.htm

prices aren't too bad either

Beagles
shipping shouldnt be tooo tooo bad then...

Gargoyle25
i dunno, how much does an h22 block weigh? 100lbs?

fartcannon
70lbs i think.

Update, todays the big day!!!

Beagles
SHOW US AND TELL US

fartcannon
$640...... i got the price down from $2000. On top of that i found the receipt for how much the car was purchased for 8 months ago....$5300

2ndgenlude
640? holy shit. im surprised it has doors for that much.

fartcannon
it has a full leather interior with no tears too  and an h23 swapped in this year with only 80,000km. Talk about steal of a deal. No body rust minus the rear quarters.

Gargoyle25
so have we forgiven you yet... maybe, that purple is still terrible :p

tcpx
trade me your leather interior then

fartcannon
haha negatory, i am keeping it. The front seats are for sale. $350 and they are yours  They are in better condition than my nice prelude. no rips, no tares, no unthreading.

CWU
you sellin the front bumper and skirts? lemme know if you are and how much.

NightmareMX6
tcpx where the hell have you been lol?
Adam sell me your El gauges lol

fartcannon
pm'd,

ryan, no :p

Beagles
Holy fuck Adam... i knew there was a smashing price
