Still looking for a cheap amp.

Clem
How much you looking to spend and what kind of power you looking for?

stealth
hehe clem ur too rich for me im lookin at 75 bux in that area anything min to power to 10's.

SplineZ
an amp for 75 bux... best bet is to go pawning.. Not too many amps for 75 will bump 2 10's without destroying them in the process...

150bux is probly the min for a new one.. Futureshop has a decent little MTX road thunder that will do 200W@2ohms for 199.. and best buy has a rockford 201S for 199 aswell..

OR another thing.. if you have a v8less discount card.. go talk to ralphie at Certified on Whyte. Im sure somethings down there :)

Go see Ryan, the installer at the southside Visions. Tell him I sent you, or you can wait till the weekend, we can hit em up then. $75 is kinda tight though.

I have a little older Alpine amp here that I'll sell you for $75, or a Phoenix Gold QX4150 for $250(it retailed in the 800-900 range). Both work just fine!

P.S. The PG is all shiny and chromey and stuff!

here are the specs on my amp it just looks a bit different http://www.valcoelectronics.com/caudio/pb444.htm

that the one?

I'd be skeptical about this amp, it doesnt give an RMS rating... 150W peak is ALOT different then 150W RMS

that amp might be good for powering 6x9's or an 8" sub..

150w PEAK is not even close to enough for a single 10... but two?

if you want to buy something new, MTX road thunder stuff is pretty good. Its plain looking, but its cheap, its good clean power.

ChromeDragon
QX4150

It runs 150W x 2 continuous bridged, nothing crazy, but it thumps pretty well. I've run it on bandpasses and sealed boxes and it gives the desired effect with both, nice clean sharp hits with the sealed box, huge rumbling in the bandpass with the bass being a little muddy(that's the trade off for huge bass).

I also have 2 bandpasses here if anyone is interested, one single ten, one dual ten. The dual has no subs in it at the moment. Make me an offer!
