FS: 88 Toyota Soarer (again) - Click HERE for Original Thread

The car is in the trader for $7600, and I got a serious offer for $5000, so I'm just looking to see if anyone can beat this. The car is in excellent shape, especially given its age. Needs new tires, and shocks (if you're picky). I just put on a genuine JDM RS*R exhaust, got 4 wheel alignment and new front brakes.

Pics and details at [link=http://www.importconcern.ca/ newwindow]www.importconcern.ca/[/link]. I'm in St. Albert.

just one question, if this is the only car in Canada, what happens when and if sometihng breaks?

Suspension, brakes, transmission, diff, exhaust are all the same as the Mk III Supra. The engine is the major odd piece, some things on it can be replaced with Toyota parts found here, but some parts are gonna need to be special ordered. If there's a fatal engine problem, then it'd probably be wiser to swap in a 7M-GTE. It's bolt-in if you get everything, crossmember, bellhousing, harness and ECU.

What kind of power does the car put to the wheels?

:werd: very cool and unique car deserves it ttt

We got it dyno'ed on the mobile dyno JB's had in front of the store a few weeks ago (not sure how accurate that thing is). It put down 142 hp and 150 ft/lbs.

How possible is a 5 spd swap?

mx73someday
The swap is a bolt-in swap. The difficulty is in getting all the parts.

The Japan only parts are the RHD clutch assembly, 1G engine bellhousing and for neatness you'd need the part of the interior where the shifter comes through from a 5 spd Soarer (LHD Supra might be the same, I'm not sure).

Everything else you could scavenge from a Mk III Supra.
