Well, as a few of you may know I recently picked some drag radials and mounted them to my stock rear rims. So I decided to go out to try 'em out for the first time tonight since there was a street legals event going on.
While I didn't get the distinction of hitting 12's yet, I did break my previous record from last year (13.3s) not once but twice tonight, with a 13.1 followed by a 13.0 right after. I was able to drop my 60fts into the 1.93-2.00 range, still not optimal for this tire and my setup, but a definate improvement over last year. There's still more room for improvement, just have to learn how to heat these suckers up properly, etc. Anyway this was my first experience with tires like this... and I still can't do a proper burnout if my life depended on it!
Anyway, I'm happy somewhat with my results tonight. With any luck, I should be into the 12's by Sept. 21. :fingersx: |

Hey Jason,
What you have to feel or listen too... how much you're spinning the tires...If you spin lotts either you need less pressure in the tire or you need to heat them up more.
If you're not spinning them much and only getting 1.9 60 fts. Then you should pass you keys over to me.... kidding. Remember the harder you launch the better the 60ft. you will acheive.
You have to make the $$$ you spent on them pay off... and 1.9 60 ft.s are almost reachable with street tires with great driving. The Drag radials are not as tricky to launch with to get a good 60 ft. Just launch harder and heat them up! You'll be sooo happy when you hit 12.5 or better... I know your car can do it... Now it is just up to you! Best of luck too you!
Sorry for posting in the Nissian Club.

Curt, were you planning to be there representing the Z club, NECC, or the Spec-V guys? I'm going to be trying to get a booth together for the EZCC, but if you'd rather rep the non-Z side, that's cool.
I'd be nice if we could get one nice example of each generation of Z car lined up at the show n' shine for that day. Like a mini walk of history. B)
D'oh! I hijacked my own thread!! :o    :pat:  |

I'll most likley go in with the NECC guys, but of course my Spec Boyz will be there aswell. We should try to get our sections side by side to show off the awesome power and look of Nissans.
I'll get a hold of Aaron and see what the plan is, I believe we're meeting this Saturday anyhow so I'll discuss it then. |
