sup all?
just wondering if anybody with a spec or ser has a ground kit.
i know people might say it's a waste of money and it doesn't add any performance gain or what not but it's a good upgrade from the factory grounding, looks good too.
anybody know where the good grounding points are on the specs?
i heard it's near the coils since our ignitions are distributorless.
well any help will be appreciated.
thanks |

Marvin just a quick question, do you plan on driving the car in winter? If so scrap the idea of that g/f kit, cause by the time spring rolls around next year I'm betting it's gonna be all scratched up and you'll probobly get stuck in the snow at some point.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade but remember we have bad winters here, and on a nice car that's a no no! |

check your specV forums see if theres any helps you can find, ground kits are waste of money if you ask me, just go to local audio store buy some wires and connecters, you will make a kit yourself. |

What Spec V forums are you suggesting? B15sentra.net or theVclub, you do know that the NECC does have 10 Spec V drivers don't you? I'm not being rude I'm just stating that on the NECC forum there are plenty of Spec V drivers, so Marvin has every right to ask his question here. |

hm...ok?
then why i dont see any suggestion here? well if you drive a specV then why the hell you dont give a answer here? bounch of specV drivers huh? 10 right? how many ppl go on a general forum ask a question about their own cars for a real answer? or do you search on the specific forums which mostly named under their cars? this is a nissan forum not a f@cking specV forum, plus a f@cking simple question is not hard to answer and i did my best to give not like someone here try to STATE 10 specV drivers will get you a better answer rather than ask all the specV forums?
your total post 5, and joined in august? dude go learn something more real then just thinking 10 specV drivers can make a big difference here. or this a f@cking fake acc. and i did not say he cant ask here, but anyone knows a better answer can be received if you are in their own forum, unless all your specV forums are bounch of ass.
for f@ck sake, what are you guys smoking all the summer? so many flames these days. btw, if bentotdagr3at is your boyfriend, then i will have no more to say. |

hey guys relax :o ..buddy just asked a simple question about his ride and I do agree with bono here, if it's not gonna give you any hp gains, don't bother cuz of the seasonal change..god knows if we're gonna get another dump of sow like we did last winter  ...I drive a Spec V and personally I wouldn't do it but to each their own right?
by the way, awesome place to check out info for our cars is this site.Alot of knowledeable people that mostly drive se-r and the Spec V.
http://forums.thevboard.com
I get alot of information from this site.
one thing about this 'new' 780, I had to create another name for me.would'nt let me log in. I'm formerly Spec V Ryder. |

Just as Racer X stated with the changes to 780 tuner some peolpe who have been with V8less for a while had to register under a new name, so if Darkz thinks I just joined guess again. I used to be known as (Bono) now sometimes it's (Quickshifter)
If your not sure who I am or what I am trying to accomplish with the NECC here, you should know that I have been working very hard with Aaron on ways to expand our car club over the next year to include all styles of nissan cars.
Darkz should also know that I not only drive a Spec V but have taken on the responcibility to inform all members in the NECC who also drive Spec's of up coming events and meets.
You have to remember that this is car club is slowly growing, so not all solutions are going to be pouring in. Yes I do agree with Rommel as to look at other sites aswell, but your statement made to check your Spec V forums came across to me as you didn't think we were good enough to be in this forum.
I gave an opinion already remember the bobo post! winter driving, scratches getting stuck etc, etc.
Due to the fact that I don't see you registerd under the members of the NECC lets me know that you don't attend meetings, unless your with the EZCC. Some members from the EZCC are also members of the NECC, just so I don't get a smart ass responce from you.
If your so insulted that Spec V's are in the Nissan forum then that's your own problem. Do you see me saying " take your Z issues to the Z forum!"
I understand that this forum does have a slightly younger age difference, but your language and atittude in your responce to me was discusting and immature  Did you see me cursing the hell out of you when I responded? No, that's because I know respect and I give respect. |

Yeah, take it easy guys. Curtis, thanks for keeping it calm.
Anyhow, i see no reason why there can't be questions asked about all sorts of topics related to Nissans. Although we don't have the largest member base, some of us still know our shit (I think ;)) Although I think DarkZ was just suggesting to go and check out the Spec forum, not saying that we don't know anything here. But just fire your questions here on the forum no matter what they are, and we will try our best to aswer what we can, easy as pie. :D
As for my opinion on the grounding kits, I think weather has nothing to do with it, unless I"m missing something. But I"ve heard both good and bad stories about the grounding kits. People have dynoed before and after with ground kits on their cars and depending on the car, have either gained some hp like 5hp, or lost some. I think it all depends on the car etc. So if no one here with a specV or experience with one with a ground kit can't aswer any of these questions, swing on by one of the SpecV forums and see if any of them have done this and dynoed their car before and after. I wouldn't go on their word that it did improve things unless you saw some dyno results. Thats just me though.
So everyone just take it easy and play nice. DarkZ, no need for gettin upset about things.
Aaron
P.S. Some of the secondary accounts are created in the last little while, because of the change to v8less to 780tuners, so some account got all screwed up. Anyhow, those of you that do have another accout, it would be appreciated if you could stick to just one of your accounts, favourably the one that everyone knows, thats of course if the 780tuners system is all in order now. Thanks |

so you tell me how many z drivers ask their questions on this forum? thats because most of them knows where to ask for a right answer!
discusting and immature? if you didnt give that cheap shot of me i wouldnt even respond you, and hey, i dont care what car you drive coz your message respond to me was not nice either. and why dont you answer the simple question where are the good grounding points since you are so leader of the specV here?
this forum is for every nissan ppl to chill out here, answer your question which relate to the topic. btw, i didnt respond to your earlier statement on the Jason issue was already a forgiven, why dont you f@cking get everything cleared before you post a pieace of waste? |

I am actually quite shocked at how angry you are getting over this issue. I was not "taking a cheap shot " at you at all, if you were to read further in the post, I stated that I wasn't being rude, so it's up to you how you take it then.
What grounding points are you looking for exactly? Did I state that I was the leader of the Spec V's in Edmonton? Just because I want to expand the NECC by included more Spec's doesn't mean I'm neglecting other rides.
As for the Z people who ask questions I'm sure they know exactly where to ask as the Z club has been around for quite some time now. I'm going to say it again but the NECC is slowly growing and some of our new members may not know about the other websites that could possibly help them.
There is one topic we both agree on though and that is that this forum IS for every Nissan driver and will hopefully grow over the next year.
As for my previous post regarding " Inzane " making a ricey coment about your car, I was defensive only because I've known Jason for a few years now and couldn't believe he would actually make a statement like that. If I came off harsh I do appoligize and lets kill this issue now. |

holy crap look what i started.
the only reason i was asking this question was:
1. i was planning on making my own kit
2. searched every board related but couldn't find the right answer
3. i was hoping that anybody here would know or atleast have an idea.
opinions are appreciated but i guess it's each to his own.
i've searched for hours to find answers but no such luck, heck i even checked boards for subaru's just to get an idea.
all i got was how to make your own grounding kit but still no grounding points, and all the pros and cons, and different opinions.
sorry if this stirred anything between members. my question was legit wasn't it? |
