Just a quickie.. I was outside tonight makeing sure all the windows were rolled up on the vehicles and i noticed on the wife's car, when the blue "armed" light in the windshield flashed off, I can see the red LED/cathode/whatever is lit up very very dimly... is this normal?
Thanks |

| Is that the factory "security" alarm, the red? If so, Id say its normal - although Im not associated with the shop that you dealt with. |

The factory "red" light is on the cluster, and it blinks normal, so does the blue compustar one I had put on the dash.
This is the one that sticks to the windshield that comes with the compustar pro, it's the pad you would tap on to page the owner... the blue "Armed" light flashes blindingly bright, but when it's in the off part of it's flashing cycle you can see the red one very very very dim... |

Oooh, Im not sure then.
That blue "Tap" to get the owner to come, does it ever go off in the rain? Thats why I was told not to get mine installed.
That dim light red may just be there to notify you that it is receiving power. |

nope... never gone off due to hail or rain thus far.. I've set the alarm off with my durango and torqueing the wheels :P
This one you have to tap it pretty decently with a coin or a key to do the page thing |

| Ohh okay. Thats cool then, have you ever had anyone actually use it? |

| Only me when I couldn't get the code thing to work to unlock it.. so I paged the wife to unlock it. (she was at work a block away) |

Yes the Red LED is dimmer than the Blue, the Blue LED is the one you want people to see and because of the intense brightness ... it says stay the fuck away from my ride

Nope does not go off in the rain unless its like hailing then the hail would be like tapping your windshiled to send off the paging system on your 2 way Remote
Don't know which model you have JoshP2002 but in SilverNeonRacer 's case we installed the Compustar Pro 2 way Combo ... so in his case he has a UNLOCK Feature, meaning he can UNLOCK his car with a code on the windshield in which has the Blue and Red LED indicators
Lots of great features on the PRO
I know the PRO very well as we do a huge volume of installs here @ E-Z Motorsports and especially now in the middle of summer we just got slammed hard with 2 way Starter & Alarm Combo. Compustar Pro's ... its been insanely busy especially with our $280 Special
