I was looking at those for a while 2 but i think they are too "lipy" for my liking, but blue would definetally look sick on your car.
And Auzzzie im not trying to pose and copy ur setup, I saw a pic of these on my color and they look stunning. I also thought that you had GT-Cs before i posted this. |

On that note too. I'll let you know what I've learnt so your ahead of me. Easier to keep them nice if you start from day one.
Don't use wash bay degreasers on anything on them. Treat the lip better than you would your paint. The clear coat on the Lip is really sensitive.
Pick up some P21S Gel Wheel cleaner. Does an awesome job and won't ruin the lip.
Also pickup some Poorboys wheel sealant and layer it on from day one. Makes upkeep alot easier.
I have a thread on here about cleaning my wheels somewhere if you wan't to look it up. |

Yea mine was pretty bad on OEM pads. I'm on Hawk HPS right now. There still not amazing but alot better than OEM for dust. |

Depends on the wheel. Volk GT-S have an annodized lip which is why there such a bitch.
If your works are just polished and clear'd and they look like shit then most likely the clear coat is all gone anyways. In which case get a aluminium polish and get ready to buff.
The downside is once the clear coat is gone it takes alot more effort to keep them nice. |

But on the up side, the lip is more shiny when you give it a good polish. |

Yea that's true. Just gotta keep at it to keep them lookin nice. We don't all have 500whp to just spin the dull finish right off our wheels.. |

Lol.
Actually the wheels I have now have a 3" aluminum lip with no clear coat, and I actually enjoy cleaning/polishing them. I like it so much that I'm ordering a full set of billet polished aluminum wheels. Imagine the upkeep on those bitches.
Maybe it's just because I'm so happy i can finally have some nice staggered wheels.:D |
