Windshield, will quite possibly be the very first addition to the bike, even just a small one so the wind doesn't hit me in the chest... That's where most of the resistance comes from...

Power Commander III - USB for programming the fuel injection
Aftermarket intake and exhaust...

The 3 items together are worth about 15HP at the wheels, which is VERY substantial considering the bike only makes about 45HP stock...

30% gains? Would be a whole new bike.

But for now I'm just taking it easy and enjoying my time on it.

Good call.. Is this your first bike? Is it the 900cc Custom? Did you buy it brand new

Lately I've had such a bloody urge to get another bike its ridiculous, although I dont think I'm allowed a sportbike again.

AudiInProgress
Yup. Brand new. Used ones are selling for just as much as new ones... Fuck that.

900cc is correct.

Not my first bike.

You should get one.

I think with the end of season so close, I'm going to take a refresher course, get the license again (I haven't ridden in 8ish years), and then buy a bike over the course of the winter when I'm sure they'll all be on sale and cheap.

Sounds great!

I can get you a good deal on a windshield Rob. Also, dont go too big.. Affect handling and causes accidents! Swerve at anything 70k and the bars just turn all the way hahaha.

Well.. I took myself up on my own offer.. So I bought one. Needs a little work over the winter, but I'll be out with it next spring.

Rob, have you put yours away yet or are you maximizing the days left?

I'm still riding!

anschutz_93
When you bought your bike did you have any previous riding experience? Did you take a motorcycle course?
I've been meaning to get a bike for a couple years now, but I have reasoned that since my bike experience is limited to a brief period in dirtbikes that it really wouldn't be safe. I have no doubt I would become a competent rider fairly quickly but I don't want to get raped by a car!
