I'm not trying to be an ass because I really don't know Civics all that much at all, but what is supposed to be impressive about that pic? Honest question.

The rest of the car is nice and clean man.

i also dont know my hondas but guessing by teh engine it either could be lsvtec or gsr motor....:dunno: being slower than the CTR motor i am not sure of that either.. need the honda guys to enlighten us

well what under that hood is a jdm gsr motor, stock it is a DOHC 1.8 litre vtec (b18c) coming from the Honda integra sir(i think thats the trim in Japan that is par with our gsr) its a bigger heavier car than the ctr therefore needs a little more displacement to get it going. From factory it produces 128tq and 180bhp. Because the ctr is still a civic Honda only equipped it with a 1.6 DOHC vtec motor(b16b). Because it is a ctr they massaged the motor bit to have little more output than the regular b16's from the sir civicsThey put better cams in it,better pistons and a few other goodies. It produces from factory 116tq and 185bhp. Because of the minimal amount of horse power the ctr has on the b18 and the differnce in torque between the 2 in favor of the b18,im a firm believer on the same sized car the b18c(non-itr) equipped one should pull. If it cant beat it from factory,it would still be a better platform to modify be it is higher in displacement.I have never proven this before cuz i never raced an ek with a b16b but on paper to me thats how it would turn out. Oh yea,the ctr transmission has a tad more aggressive gears than the b18. For arguments sake, someone could say "y not just slap a 1.8 block in the ctr head?" and that would make it a pretty killer setupbut than u would be into it for more money and hassle than i an afford so i decided that this motor was the best fit for me.

oh so your running the JDM Gsr motor aka the SIR engine

i get it... well then i guess its time to dress that engine bay for the big ball

sweet honda

if you havnt already please invest in some stealthy anti theft matters, i have heard of far too many "sweet honda's" getting cherry picked in this city (and calgary via beyond.ca) lately, and yours has such a nice stance and clean look that i am sure it would generate interest of all kinds....including the fuck heads who roam around while we sleep.

Drove by you the other day on 50th and the whitemud off ramp...

I wet myself when I drove past by it hahaha...

I usually see you on my way home from work Jon.. That was the only 1st time I caught up to you. I usually get caught a red light when i want to creep in closer to you.

So does the jdm b18c still have dual stage intake manifold.(secodarie injectors aswell) ,does it cross over like b16s and b18c5s ect 5800 rpm?

dual stage, it stays closed till about 5800 rpm for a little more low to mid range and opens at 5800(i believe thats when it opens up) to increase airflow for the higher rpms
