Paint Jobs - Click HERE for Original Thread

Alpha Gangsta
Who would you guys say does the best paint jobs in the city? I'm just wondering where you guys would take your cars. I heard Modern does some real good work.....too bad I cna;t afford that.

Man this is like the fifth topic on body work. I dont think anyone knows of a reasonable body shop. All the good guys in Etown are overpriced (for obvious reasons&#33.

But I hear topline is pretty cool. Mark brought his miata there.

A good place and reasonably affordable ($3000 to $4000) is Top Tech on Yellowhead and 124th.

They did this S2000 that was Silver and changed the color to white, did part of the enginebay and under the hood (areas not to be painted were masked off) Very good job, and they have a really good paintbooth.

For unsurpassed quality, goto Showcase, but they are $$$.

yeah, topline autobody's a good place. They really take care of your car. Butthe painter Al has a tendency to over spray sometimes and doesn't really give a sh*t sometimes. So you really go to closely look at the finished product.

I use to work there so that's what I saw

Anyd, Toptech = Topline?

I believe Toptech is the mechanics shop beside Topline.

They did my Miata from red to Silver so they have good experience. Quite a nice job, but there were some mistakes. I was only charged $2000 to paint and install my body kit (which was molded on too). I don't think you'll get that good of a deal from them again now that they know the ammount of work involved.

But yeah Overspray was there, but not as bad as I've seen on other repaints.

?, hmm, it could be, my brain is going 6 different directions right now... But it's behind the Harley shop on Yellowhead.

As for you paintjob Mark, for $2000, paint, install, and molded bodykit, c'mon, you got a deal man

Yeah it was a steal. But it took a very long time - 2 months!

That was ok as I was nursing a broken thumb.
