| i have a spoiler on my car and every time a cop sees it they slow down eyeball me and see iam doing nothing wrong and leave they park right behind me at seven 11 and still do nothing drive away what is going on is it a stero type to imports or something else iam not worried but would like to know why they do this is it because it is 13inches high and blocks my rear window or because they think iam a street racer? does anyone have an idea to why or does jimbo know whats up with EPS and why they eye ball me |

| If you didn't rice out your car the cops wouldn't pick on you as much. Things like huge spoilers attract the wrong kind of attention, both from cops and theives. Keep it clean and watch a lot of the problems disappear. |

the theives came before the spoiler lol .
would lowering the spoiler help i like the down force because our rear ends are fairly lite, no rice on my ride just preformance and as far as rice goes you mean wiper lights,muffler, neon, tint ec right or like most civcs. my ride is in the buikd up stages and on going a planned on lowering the spoiler for some time now just have not gotten to it , do stickers contribute to the un wanted attetion? |

Big spoilers, Stickers, loud exhaust, dark tint, driving stupid... will all get the attention you dont want from the cops.
Also if you're a total ASS to the officers if they pull you over, im sure they will ALL not like you. Im sure the cops talk about the 'local' car drivers around town, and once u get a bad rep with them they'll find ways to f@ck u over |

| I remember this girl that I went to school with in Maniotba almost everytime a cop was behind her the pulled her over or followed her for a while, she had a bad accident where she was at fault had her lisence suspened and some tickets. I was told your plate gets flagged or something, and they hassle you more, but I'm not a cop so I wouldnt know. Is it just some urban legend that they flag your plate? |

| urban legend, there's no conspiracy with the force where they "flag" plates in the database but traffic cops are taught to look for shit, and they're crackin down on meth/crack dealers so drivin a rice mobile around will attract the wrong kind of attention and usually these customers meet at convenience stores, don't like the stereotype, buy something else. I NEVER got hassled in my porsche, a cop wouldn't look twice, unless he was just checkin out the car :D |

lol jk man i dunno i might seem heaty when drivin my 95 teg with clear corners with blue bulbs(came with the car), rims and gsr(small spoiler) and im 16. they never pulled me over yet *knocks on wood* o and tegs in my area are always pulled over.
just drive normally and dont do stupid shit.
ps the only ppl who look at me are people in their cars, no offense but not being racist but white people especially. ;) |

about plate taging, my sister bought her car when she turned 16 she got into 2 accidents and several speeding tickets(laser). She had the cops fallow her alll the time. I even got pulled over in her car for doing the speed limit on 170st at 2am for driving her car. The officer even told me I didn't look like a girl. :)

| thanks for the insight guys but i think it all has to do with age and how you are driving when they see you and what your plate info says seeing how most of the time they do it downtown and i live downtown . call me rice when i talk about down force thats funny lol jk. see you at the track. |

hey i admit it iam a littel bit rice iam add turbo and other preformance for speed and to top it off there will be lites and a STEREO so iam a bit rice arent everyone who does the samething.

first off i would like to say i dont have stickers i was clarifing what rice is some people have diferent views on what rice is the wing is there for a reason DOWNFORCE
second if you read an earlyer post i said i was a bit rice but hey iam add hores power next spring with a rebuild motor and a turbo .
anyways iam getting rid of the spoiler to get a lower one for the same reason downforce not just a rice wing for the front wing i still need to find some wings. |

You really think your car is fast enough to require downforce? I seriously doubt the wing on the back of your car even provides any. You can't just slap any old thing on there and think it's gonna improve your car. It should be interesting to hear about the engine rebuild and turbo you are planning, cause it sounds to me like you don't know shit. I would also be inclined to call someone such as yourself a ricer. Do yourself a favour and educate yourself before you plunk down more money for stuff that won't do shit to your car except attract unwanted attention, then again maybe you really do want the attention. |

| down force on the rear helps for traction in corners on fwd cars. For straightline there is no point, but if he autocrosses or likes to take corners period, the downforce could/and will help the car. |

I haven't seen this WING, but almost all that I have seen stuck on the back of a younger person's car....Is for anything, except performance.
For a wing to be functional at Solo 2 speeds, this wing has got to be HUGE!!! And If I remember correctly, a wing throws you into Mod class or at best Street Prepared. So for not having an engine to back up the extra weight, and increased drag (wind), the car is propably slower now than before......
But for you to see ANY downforce, I'm guessing you have to be driving at least 125 kph....Do that on Groat (sp?) road, and they'll be pulling your pasted body off a concrete wall long before you ever reached 125 kph.
I know, this post looks like I'm flaming.....I guess in a way, I am....What I am trying to say is whoever sold you the wing, telling you that you're going to be gaining downforce for handling your day to day driving, took advantage of your youth (inexperience). Take the time to research what your adding to your car, it could save you some cash. If you're after the "ricer" look, then fine, just don't make comments like "It's for Downforce" ....I personally don't buy that statement. |

| i dunno...i think groat road at 125 is attainable, right now i can do it at 90km, with my only susp/handling mods a strut tower brace, and if you count the downforce wing, haha. thats also with crappy tires. My old beretta the fastest i went was 100 for fear of my own life, that had better rubber, and also an Eibach Pro Kit. i think 125 is definitely attainable...if they fixed the potholes and crap. |
