Was wondering when is it legal to make a u-turn...or is it ever?
I know that some places have it marked no u-turns, so does that mean they are legal in some places??? |

| I think u turns are illegal period! The signs are just for reminders i beleive(a pig told me this a while back)... |

| U turns can be made legally, I was told when I was having driving lessons which was years ago.. It was something like you can be clearly seen if there is anyone around and there is no moving cars within a certain radius, something along 1km or something, don't really remember details but it can be done. |

| From what I can remember there ok anytime it is safe to do so and there is not a "no U turn" sign posted. Could be wrong though. |

My 2 cents but I would think that in the topic speak w/your local enforcement you would show a little respect by not referring to police as a type of farm animal. But then again what do I know, your post count far exceeds mine. |

Okay folks ... check out Section 30 for u-turn legalities.

Well......reading that the way I see it the only place to make a legal u-turn is in the middle of a straight road where there are no intersections, lights, stop signs, access to that road.
Am I correct in this assessment???? |

any spot that doesn't have a "no u-turn" sign means don't make one, otherwise you're fine as long as you do it safely and don't impede traffic :) |
