I HATE SCHOOOOL - Click HERE for Original Thread

Scintillater
Everyone tells me to enjoy school, and that I'll miss it once I'm out.  But right now, I sure don't feel that way....so how can I NOT feel like I want the world to stop spinning so that I don't have to go to classes anymore?

I'm surprised this topic wasn't posted like many months ago...

Sad but true, school is probably the best time. All you have to worry about (rough generalisation) is getting to and from school looking good, meeting people, and getting your homework done.

Once you graduate from Highschool, you enter the High performance arena of University or College this determines you future, once that is done, it's a mad dash/delicate balance to make enough money to live on and maintain your sanity at the same time.

Then there are those pains about work... hate your boss/hate your work/hate your co-workers/hate the morning drive in/hate the daily repetition.

Ah, but I do go on <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

To answer your second question, I guess, try and take comfort in knowing things will change drastically when you finish.

Life has barely begun to crush you <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

REFLUX
university makes high school seem like playschool
be prepared for at least a 10% drop in your average (so if you graduate with 80's, expect low 70's for an average, if not less)

i'm jus speakin from experience, but 2nd year is sposed 2 b easier cuz u get used to the work, etc

if you're in gr.11/12 work hard, get ur grades, get into a good university and with the study habits you'll have developed from the hard work, uni will be much easier

my sister always tells me how hard university is and its a wake up call to life. haha. i don't like school at all but i just keep on going and going cause i have to. like that stupid pink energizer bunny <!--emo&:0--><img src="http://asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'><!--endemo-->  <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

Lucky?  When I graduate, I get to pay out the mountains of loans i have....real money...i WISH!  With my degree...I'll be LUCKY if I get a job....PLUS, th interest from student loans.  Ohh...the agony.

REFLUX
Scin: you're taking out loans already??

if uni is too expensive go for GMCC, same programs, do the transfer thing, save u some money for the first 2 years

it's a shame wen you see people with SO MUCH potential but they dont go to uni because of their financial situation....:(

Scintillater
already?  i don't live at home (not from edmonchuck), so I kinda don't have the time to work enough to pay for rent AND go to school!  Too late anyhow...this is my last semester...plus my parents would CHOP MY ASS if I went anywhere other than a university.

REFLUX
where are you from?
you dont have time to pay for rent AND school, are you saying for next year? or this year?

i also noticed that people who do well in school are ALWAYS kept busy, because they realize the value in the short study periods they have and they USE it to their maximum advantage

so working & school wouldn't b such a bad thing, kinda FORCES you to be organized
