NDP commercials enrage me. Oh, let's talk bad on Harper and then irrelevantly throw in a picture of a girl using an asthma inhaler just so we can make some sub-concious connection that Harper = bad and his being bad is causing this child to have asthma!

the conservatives... they have nothing on their main page at all. the only thing they have to read about what they stand for is 'economic certainty', great, that means absolutely nothing. might as well put 'For the win'.
the NPD's site is a lot better of the 3. clear cut message at the beginning with no clutter, and then an easy to use site that makes its very easy to understand thier party, and actually makes them look like a good choice. |

This attitude actually bothers me a lot, considering what's happened since the last election. Does anyone seriously remember how many promises Harper made then? Make 50 and follow through with 2? If you promise enough you can't help but make good on a couple of them. It would be interesting to see how many of his promises actually made it to Bill form. Don't tell me they couldn't because of the minority vs. the left opposition problem. Did they even try to make good on half? No. They gave us $23 a week to pay for child care and dropped GST by 2%. That's all I can remember of his promises that he came through with.
As for the websites, I saw no plan whatsoever from the Conservatives. They talk a lot about what's been going on, but nothing about what they plan to do, other than make keep the child tax credit exactly where it is. Wow. Not only have you not come up with a platform, you've reused on of the only promises you've kept as a new promise. Get out of my Government, you fake fuck. I wonder if that smile was surgically engraved in his face. You know the only reason it's there is because his PR people told him to smile more.
The Liberals and the NDP (the latter's site is a lot better laid out and operates smoother) both have the link to their plan/platform at the top of the page for easy viewing, though I found the NDP's Plan was very clear in their intent. The front page of the Liberal site is almost entirely about taking a shit on the PC party. Not so with the NDP.
How about adding the Green Party and Canadian Action Party pages to the list, Ehos? I don't know a damn thing about the CAP, except that they have a candidate running in my riding.

A very cool part of the Green's page is under the Platform link, you can choose an outline or detailed description of their Platform. They also do the same for their Budget, so for anyone thinking they're only about the environment, you can see there that they have a detailed economic plan. |

Well, a lot of their policies are based on those tried in different parts of Europe by the Green Party. These aren't new and untested ideas, they're just new to Canada. I know Canada isn't Europe, but it wouldn't hurt for us to become more manufacturing based than simply a resource nation. |

It's how conservatives work in all countries. They can't come up with their own ideas to solve problems, so the use the 'attack, slander' FUD technique that Rove has perfected. (The guy that got Bush into power).
Hopefully there is a global throw out of all these bums. In the US McCain is losing badly and he's resorting to the only conservative trick there is, more attacks.
Same with Harper, he starts to slide, and instead of working on his platform, he starts slinging mud. |
