DJ Rice
You went from an okay car to a no torque go cart?

Anywayz nice pick up, what are your plans for it?Your first plan should be get rid of those Altezza taillights and a nice clay/cut/power polish on your paintjob, I can see lots of swirls

onelowvdub2.0
1990 to 99 is okay shit is newer..first thing is to get the red and whites for the back and do a cleaning lol..this is in a dirt feild and the guys who drive the cars around punch it in the dirt :( ..

for the spring it will have a b20 bottom and itb's and beefed up tranny..not shooting for the stars on this one..

definetly going to be slower..and for the price i couldnt beat it considering i saved about 5 grand on what these usually go for

HiTempguy
Post price or GTFO of your own thread... ;)

It'd be sooper bitchin' if you'd tell us the screaming deal you got it for. Was the auction at Marshals?

onelowvdub2.0
4000 with gst and buyers fee..20 people were there to buy it and ultra pissed..so many people left after i bought it

friedn00dles
that's a great price for an SIR. whats the mileage on it so far? and also was this at the police auction that are on every 2nd weds of the month.

edit:

im guessing it has 198 623km from osman auctions am i correct?

well i have owned about 6 civics so far lol i grew up working on them and they were my first passion..almost all my cars had a swap or something at least..so when i seen this i couldnt pass it up..
i almost bought a 2001 ford expedition though all jacked up and blacked out with big ass tires..but that went through for 4100 and had to pass it up...i couldnt beleive i won the auction for the vic ..they started the bidding at 7000 lol the ol lady was freaking

Your Civic started at 7000 yet your 4000 bid won?I'm confused

onelowvdub2.0
bidding started at 7000 and no takers :dunno: so he kept going lower and nobody said anything..and he said 3000 can i get 3000 and i fucking flew my card up right away and somebody else bidded with me till i got it for 3600..

ohh and i picked up a 100 dollar lincoln continental to for the step mom lol it runs good to..

also there was a audi v8 quattro there...thing was nice wish i waited to get that instead of the lincoln

so update:

yes it shudders when breaking..can be so bad i think the dash is going to fall off..

yes the battery cable is loose, which shut down the stereo..

yes it goes into vtec sometimes

yes it has a clunking sound in the engine when driving..

all and all i found out it has a full ractive exhaust!!!lol but it is the twin loop real section so it isnt loud..and for 4g's another grand :fingersx: it should be worth it...cause there is no oil leaks, coolant is fine and also fans work good as well as ac and the suspension is tight and drives pretty damn good...

anybody know a good j-man mechanic ?? or a cheaper than dealer honda shop...

~sanj~
good buy man!

brakes you can easily do yourself :P
same with the battery cable!
make sure your oil is topped up hah

what kinda clunking? when your accel? braking? cornering?

onelowvdub2.0
when idiling it clunks once it a while metal on metal i think a valve dropped..it hits vtec hard and i think they put aftermarket cams in and not change the springs and retainers and it popped a retainer...

if i remember all i need to do is pull the valve cover..still drives so i dont think it damaged my engine (pistons)

Really... Is that what you think?

onelowvdub2.0
well my last car i had low oil pressure..and without taking it to the dealer to check it out i jsut swapped out the motor for a new one...when it could have just been an oil pump...

so this time around im going to make sure first before i swap it out for a another motor

onelowvdub2.0
ok heres better pics

onelowvdub2.0

ohh and proof i have nos lol

onelowvdub2.0
thankx alot goes to the guys who gave me a big hand..took me about 6 days and two more after fixing little leaks and getting it running better..
so as it sits..b16a2 tranny, b20b block, gsr head with type r cams, greddy timing belt and also a xtd stage 3 clutch (sux)

this is how i got the motor..( the valve cover used to be red and the oil cap used to be round lol)

Soulfly
lol... Took you 6 days?

How does it feel with the new motor?

onelowvdub2.0
yes 6 fin days..i thought it would take like 2 lol..i had some help till i got the new motor in..but then it was alot of little stuff i needed to do..i didnt mark any of my wires before taking it out so i had 4 of them hooked up wrong..yeah i know..i even did the common map with tps one lol .. then it was customizing alot of stuff and i found out my vtec feed line was leaking cause of the fire..so i had to replace that..

but now it works good pretty freaking fast..still need to get a good tune done and a 0bd2b-obd1 harness and chipped ecu..to make it work even better...

and stage 3 clutches suck..especially this ebay garbage one..i need to rev it to 2500 just so it doesnt shudder when feathering it..lol..

and i might be out of time as well im not good at doing the timing and it might be running retarded right now

Soulfly
You should probably... just.. not drive it until you find someone to tune it...

I have no idea what a 'Stage 3' clutch is... lol 'Stages' are for Nissan's and Neons...

onelowvdub2.0
wekk its an xtd blutch kit with 6 puck copper packs
