Well I just booked a vacation and I'm pretty pumped!
I'm heading to Maui, Hawaii for 2 weeks from Dec. 13th to 27th :D
Just wondering if anyone else has anything planned in the near future?

October 30 thru November 2 I might be in New York
November 20-23 I am (99% sure on this one) in Bancroft, Ontario

I've been to Hawaii four times and this year will be the fifth. Leaving on xmas day for a two week stay. Xmas in Hawaii is definitely something to experience as it is.
Advice on what to see? If you've never been then everything will probably impress you, but one thing I've looked forward to since I was there as a kid is New Year's Eve. The locals take their fireworks pretty seriously. ;) |

Maui should be fun My parents have a house in Ko Olina on Oahu and i love borrowing it a few weeks a year.
As for myself I have a business trip/ vacation planned for 3 weeks starting on the 13th Will be doing Atlantis on Paradise Island, Washington DC, then house shopping in Panama.
Jan 2nd I have a road trip where I head down to Colorado for 2 weeks hitting up ski resorts there before driving back to whistler and hitting BC and Rockies resorts for 2weeks before returning to Edmonton.
I have a trip booked to Mexico in Feb with a special friend for reading week, then in March to the Dominican with another special friend for H/S Spring break.
Montreal F1 in the summer, and Hopefully I can fit Hawaii somewhere in there as well lol. |

Live in Munich so I"m back in town in Edmonton for 4 weeks of vacation.
Then I'm off to TO at the start of Nov for 4 days, then Amsterdam for 5 days.
Back in Edmonton for 2 weeks for Christmas.
In March, I'm going to Thailand/Laos/Vietnam for 5 weeks.
There'll be a bunch of weekend trips in there too. |

Hawaii for from Dec 18 - Jan 5 for me.
Jamie what island are you staying on? If your on the big island Hapuna beach is a must, rated one of the best beaches in the world. When it's a red flag day the beach is killer. There is also I really nice black sand beach at the Marriot that is on the way to Hapuna.
If your going to Oahu, i suggest rent a convertible and drive around the shoreline of the island. A lot of nice beaches, and the northshore surfing is ridiculous. |

I am currently on vacation in Morden MB until nov ... then I get to travel to my next destination until dec 18 Oyen AB,... then Lucky me I get to go home for 2 weeks for xmas... then to Hardisty AB until spring break up... then back to Hardisty until august 09.. then back to Morden MB for final tie-ins in the fall...
YAY FOR OIL AND GAS WOO-HOO...

Angela and I will be heading to the Island (CB) for four days of hiking and camping without the kids. We're still trying to fit as many hikes in as possible, and maybe make a show on Sunday night (the Celtic Colours Festival is going on right now).
So it's no Hawaii, but it'll probably be the best vacation we've taken in years. |

| flying to Cleveland, OH on the 5th of november since i got tickets to a browns game, and to check out the rock and roll hall of fame. then flying to toronto right after that for the ACDC concert at the rogers center, and to visit the hockey hall of fame. short trip but should be a good time :) |

I have 3 weeks off paid vacation in december where I will be sitting in my trailer park watching tv, playing warcraft and eating cheet-o's... hopefully head to the mountains for quality snowboard time if anyone can come with me.
feb or march i will be heading north to work on some rigs - that counts as a vacation, right :dunno: |

My girlfriend and I are visiting my parents in Maui for Christmas. We go every year and it's a fantastic place to go for a winter holiday. What town are you staying in EK9Hatch? My parents live in Kihei, so the south side of the island is what I know best.
If you're into hiking, drive up to the haleakala crater and hike down into it. It's a hard hike at 10,000ft if you aren't used to it. Take a trip to Hana and stop to get out and look around often. You go through a rain forest and bamboo forest before getting there and it's a beautiful drive (don't drive off the cliff). The inkpots are over there, but I'm not sure if the bridge has been repaired yet to get there.
Lahaina is a nice town to go shopping and have dinner. You can catch a whale watching boat from there too if you're into that. Also, Molikini is one of the top snorkeling spots in the world, but don't go early in the morning like I did. If the sun isn't high enough you end up swimming around in the shade and can't see as much.
There's a winery in upcountry that is a common tourist attraction, but the pineapple wine is nasty. If you keep going around towards the south, there's lavafields and some good snorkeling spots buried in there (the fishbowl).

i was just in vegas like 2 days ago haha
we saw wayne brady and the blue man group. both really good shows. and both fairly cheap. wayne brady was about 55 and blue man was around 85, both for pretty good seats. half way in the middle of the eisle.
dont book tickets ahead of time though, best bet is to go to the day of ticket vendors on the street, usuallly like 25% off. plus the have half price meals coupons and stuff.
we ate in paris at a steakhouse, would have been 180, and it was 100 instead |
