40th General Election Oct 14 2008 remember to vote - Click HERE for Original Thread

GOT BOOST
If you do not vote then you can STFU about the outcome and any decisions made afterwards.

http://www.elections.ca/home.asp?lang=e

The ID required is pretty easy to have. They even accept a library card as valid ID.

Oct 14, get off your arses and vote. I don't care who you vote for just as long as you vote.

pooptart
even if you hate them all go and check every candidate. It means you are unpleased with all of them but respect your right to vote.

Kana
screw you got boost and screw voting.

Just thought i would get that out of the way.

Now with that in mind i am going to go vote for the marxist lennist party of canada.

Mr.Suave
obamas got my vote

Beerking
I already did..advanced polliong FTW

When the shit are we going to bring in proportional representation? So many people don't bother to vote in Alberta because they know it's going to go conservative, no matter who they are voting for. Yes, even many PC supporters don't bother voting because they know the conservative rep will be getting in no matter what.

I know! It's fucking retarded. Only 41% of Alberta voted. How hard is it to get up and vote? Even my family was like that, I forced my parents to get up and go vote.

This is my first election so I'm kinda excited regardless my vote matters or not.

EVERYONE VOTE!

Doesn't matter that it's American still holds the same message

Want to know what I think?

Hmm no...too polite...but I will say that is a very immature response and hardly necessary...did GOT BOOST do something to you personally...like maybe punch your lights out?

Really very childish response...please don't ever run for anything...ever

:)

I think you'd be more at home somewhere in the Middle East where you can listen to your dictator instead of practicing free speach that you seem to enjoy here in Canada.

Or you could pretend to be a bad ass some more and not appreciate everything that was done in the past and in the present to help keep Canada a stable democracy.

ehos
Every vote, even if your party doesn't 'win' means additional support for it.

It's about $1.85 directly. It's also political pressure, party funding and bunch of other things that are important.

So, say you want to support the Pants party, but afraid your vote is 'wasted'? Well, really it's not. Every vote DOES something.

Invalid Zero
I'm voting Obama!

Geofux
I can't vote. :(

NATO
As a dual citizen, I'm voting in both major elections this year. It's the first year I've actually taken the time to follow coverage and do some of my own research on the candidates (in both elections).

I'll definitely be doing my part.

Nate

I think you and Kana are idiots.

Someone already beat me to banning you.

Blondy,

Thanks for the link. It was a good vid.

THUD
Just went and did it and was way to easy, I had to goto Looma to vote but none the less was good to do so.
This election is way to important to not vote, it's the year of chaos and change so if your one of them rebels that says the hell with voting this is a good time to change that even if it's just this time.
It is YOUR RIGHT to vote and if that means you have to tell your boss you need time to go and vote they have no choice but to let you and if they threaten to fire you cause you want to go you can contact Alberta labour standards or just show the web site, it states it in the charter of rights too.
VOTE DAMIT VOTE

LOL The NDP is killing the libs in my riding so far.

Z3r03rr0r
voter apathy is pissing me off, I know not all the results are tallied properly yet but seriously I am seeing maybe a 20% turn out in my riding and imagine that the national average will be about the same or possibly lower. that means that 80% of the people I see that bitch about the current state of affairs should have done their civic duty and got off their collective asses and maybe things would be different.

MightyMidget
Dion is a little whining bitch too.....he's a little pissed off at CTV for the interview thing when it was ALL his own fauit because he is an inept POS.

deathwarden5
Haha...Were you watching that. The CTV reporter got "roughed" up by Dion's Mountie Bodyguards. LOL. And "CTV was the last he first wanted to talk to". What an idiot.

Sounds like my time at the voting polls.

I think they find the most incompetent volunteers and select them intentionally to help out.

I agree 100% on Voter Apathy. I think it was 58.XX% of Canadians turned out to vote.

For those who think their vote does not count here is some food for thought….

Rahim Jaffer Conservative has held a tight grip in my riding Edmonton Strathcona for the last 10 years. In 2006 they won the vote over the NDP’s by approx 5,000 votes.

This election Linda Duncan NDP took Edmonton Strathcona by less than 500 votes.

Beerking
What a waste of money and time for this election. we found out less people care too vote and that we still have a fucking minority govt.

At least Dion is gone.

AuZZZie
While i DID vote. I find the attitude of some of you guys pretty funny.

ALL OF THE CANDIDATES SUCKED. And these days it really doesn't matter who you vote for. Politicians are just salesman that don't deliver. They all give their best sales pitch until there hired/elected then they completely forget about everything they promised and go off on the same tangent that corrupts everyone voted in.
