| I get a $115 seat belt ticket. Well right when the dumb pig is handing me my ticket, some bitch in a van screechs her tire. Do they even bother writing down her plate number or ANYTHING? No, they let her go cause she's like 50. I probably can't afford insurance until i'm 22 and i'm 16 now. I had nothing against cops but now i'm fuckin pissed. All you cops reading this, f@ck you and all your fuckin tickets. You dumb mother fuckers can pull a teen over for a seat belt ticket yet you can't pull over some fat ass so screeching her tires? f@ck you. | Although the cops should have done something about the woman in the van she's not the reason you got the ticket. You were breaking the law and it's your own fault you got the ticket. Go to court, get it reduced and chill the fock out. I went through all the same type of crap, sh!t happens so deal with it. |

| I didn't know seatbelt tickets came with demerits do they?? Even if they do, it is 3 years, not 6 years that your record will be affected. And c'mon, seatbelt is an easy law to obey. :) |

Put your f@cking seatbelt on and shut the hell up, don't go blaming your mistake on others. Maybe wrap the seatbelt around your neck a couple times too while you're at it.....killing a few more brain cells shouldn't make a big difference seeing as you don't use them anyhow.

I wish my wife would get pulled over for a seatbelt ticket once in a while. Maybe she would use them more often. A seatbelt may safe your life. Even if you have an airbag in your car....That's just a supplentary restraint system...It's main job is to suppliment your seatbelts
Yesterday I got nabbed in a commercial area (speeding) 68 in a 50 zone (I thought it was a 60 zone)...But I was speeding. PERIOD. I'm hoping one ticket won't spike the insurance. BUT...Who was at fault? It wasn't the Passport office where I stood in line for over an hour to find out that my daughters signed the forms with a blue pen, when they require a black pen. (yes, I'm venting...) I was in control of the vehicle...I WAS AT FAULT.
Stop whining for something you are at fault for or have control of. |

Last weekend 9 leduc youths were involved in an accident outside of Leduc. Eight of the nine weren't wearing seatbelts. Four of them won't be complaining about the $115 ticket they received. Why? Because they are DEAD!!!! One person involved in that accident was wearing a seatbelt. He survived with minor injuries, while 50% of those who were unbelted were killed. Maybe you should think about that next time you get into your car. Maybe if you and all your 16 year old friends wore seatbelts, your insurance would be a little lower, and you could afford to drive sometime before 2010.

They didn't stop her cause they were dealing with you, believe it or not cops AREN'T superman and they must finish with you before movin onto her, that's why if there are 4 ppl pulled over with laser and you coats by at 15 over they won't pull you over.. cause they can't, so you have to pull a couple of more shifts over at Burger King to cover it so what? |

this thread didnt really have a clear answer as to- will your insurance actually go up after a seatbelt ticket? i saw one reply saying that there are no demerits along with seatbelt tickets...so in that case, your insurance would not go up...i have no heard of insurance going up from seatbelt tickets...
so can someone make it clear...yes or no...demerits or not...insurance going up or no from a seatbelt ticket...? |

actually a seatbelt ticket is now $115, and 2 demerits.
it will raise your insurance because of the demerits, but most times if you go to the first appearance crown you can get the demerits knocked off. |

| a seatbelt ticket WILL NOT raise your insurance unless you already have 3 previous minor tickets B) it takes 4 minors.. the 4th up's it 25% and this is a general rule |

I felt that way the first time i got a ticket for stunting. I think it just served as a wake up call to me not to be so stupid with my car in public places. |

You can tell by your little rant that you're 16. Too much testosterone and not enough grey matter being used. I figure you would rather the cop have given you a ticket after the paramedics pulled your lifeless body out of a wreck.
Here's the thing if you don't break the law you don't get a ticket. It seems the typical thing for kids your age is to blame someone else for your own failures rather than growing up and taking responsibility for your own actions. As for the insurance blame the government and the insurance industry for the mess that insurance rates are. |
