Did anyone else know they existed? 1979 Silvia S11's came with a 1000cc twin rotor 4 barrel carb engine. You gotta love datsunhistory.com Who else made rotaries?

I believe that you could get 510's with rotary power overseas.

Really? I always thought was just a swap? I'll have to look into that.

It appears no one has had the guts to keep it going long enough except for Mazda. Even Mercedes had one back in the sixties.

It is king by acclamation. Truth be told, I think the rotary is a better design. There are ALOT of engine technologies out there that put current technology to shame.

The biggest problem is everybody is sucking off of Big Oil's tit, there is still LOTS of oil left in the majority of the populations opinion,so why switch over to another fuel?

Lots of oil left, HAH! Maybe for this generation, but at current consumption rates the worlds oil reserves will be dried up in 250-300 years, what then? Obviously current rates of consumption will not be maintained, so chances are earth will be for all intensive purposes a "dead" planet within 200 years. Way to think ahead fuckos in the gov't!!!

That's why I said "majority of the population's opinion". I have done some research, the human race is going to be fucked relatively soon if we continue to rely on oil.
