I hate cold weather, so I mainly train in the offseason with cycling and stuff.

Cycling, Mountain biking, Hiking, and Rollerblading.

I'm a warm weather guy, no at all like a Canadian <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

i'd gladly give up snowboarding if winter were never around hehe

REFLUX
silverimpreza: wow, a 126?? must have been a long time ago!
my first board was a 144 (Burton Twin)
i'm on a 157 now, doubt i'll get another board, but IF i do i think i'm gonna go for 160-163 Salomon (or some kind of PURE freeride board, nice & stiff) <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://asianet.ca/images/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

Reflux: is there really a big dif in boards? (stiffness.. etc.) like if u aint doing tricks...

REFLUX
the different between freestyle & freeride boards is narrowing just because they're very closely related
ppl who freeride like to do some jumps/track parks (dont know if this is the right term) once in a while

when i bought my 144 there was still a big diff between freeride & style
since my 144 is freestyle, it is SUPER flexy, i mean u can almost make a U with it (k...maybe not THAT flexy)

my 157 is fairly stiff but it's still classified as freestyle

the RIDE difference between freeride & style is:

freeride: STIFF, great edge to edge response, LONG for speed, and of course bindings & boots play a part as well

freestyle: not as stiff, shorter for easier spins & etc, lighter in weight

that's about all i get off the top of my head...but they're so similar now u could easily use a freestyle for freeriding (as i am now)

Genki
ahh cool.. thats for the info.

yeah, no kidding. i got the board close to 5 years ago. sold it to some kid last year. hope he will enjoy it as much as i did. man, thoes sims freestyle boards have awsome flex. i crashed countless number of time and it took some pretty harsh beatings. i had sims board, sims bindings, and i think i had sims boots too. hehe. all sims stuff. hehe.

REFLUX
sims has some good sh*t
