New Exaust for a 94 Lude SRV - Click HERE for Original Thread

Are there any PCM/ECM changes needed to be made if the cat is removed from the exaust and straight through pipe put on to replace it.

I ask because I'm looking at doing my exaust from the header back, and I've been told the CAT will usually be removed, is this going to cause me any problems?

Thanks

i don't think it should cause you problems. obd1 cars only have 1 o2 sensor which is located before the cat... you should be ok. maybe consider getting a high flow cat. i know we don't have to run cats in alberta and it would be more expensive.. but a car without a cat will pollute as much as many many cars with a cat.

Nope, none only if you have 2 O2sensors one before the cat and one after the cat.
Other wise your fine!

I didn't have to make any changes
