Was wondering who would be interested in a hockey pool this year for the 03-04 Season.
I just want to see how many people would actually be interested.
Cost: $10 - not set in stone
Prize Money - $500
1st - $350ish
2nd - $100ish
3rd - $50ish
There may be some prizes for 4-10th place, but I am not sure, depending on how many people actually partcipate.
Most likely we would use a service provided by websites like hockerpools.com or sportsnet.ca that can track the statistics properly.
However if I have to we could setup a different style of pool.
We are looking for at least 50 participants, with no maximum.
You are allowed up to 3 different entries. These are just some basic rules, nothing is Official yet, we just want to see how many are interested.

As well post any feedback or suggestions. We are trying to get as many Alberta people into the pool as possible, but not trying to whore it out so that your competing against thousands of people like most other hockey pools, where your chances of winning become very minute.

im in for sure ...I could use $500 bucks :P
I'd also be up for one of those head-to-head pools where u actually have to be an active participant in order to win.....? i.e 3 forwards, 6 wingers, 4 defence, 2 goalies? Or something of that combo?
anyways, whatever u guys decide...im in. :D |

Make sure that you look into the legal aspects of this. Having a pool at the office is one thing, but when you come online advertising it.....well we just don't want you running into any problems.

i won the sportsnet pool last year in my division of my friends....the best thing was i told them that i was going to win it from the start..but none of them believed me....
to all you guys in my division... i will not defend my title because i have nothing to prove by winning it again.....i need to move on to stiffer competition... |
