Fuel System Problems - Click HERE for Original Thread

90_Shelby
Well we got the fuel system done in the 11 second Daytona..... Aeromotive pump, Mallory by-pass style regulator, fuel cell, -10 feed to regulator, and -8 to both sides of the rail feeding 82# injectors. Exact same tune-up as before, same base fuel pressure but, (we almost hurt the engine), it goes lean at spool up. The fuel pressure goes up when you put an airline to the boost reference on the regulator but it doesn't seem to go up as much when it actually sees boost from the engine. We have changed lines to the regulator as well as locations for boost reference. We've ensured that the pump will supply enough pressure with quick bursts of pressure from the airline seeing 100psi of fuel pressure but it still isn't rising as it should under boost???????

The original reason to upgrade the fuel system was due to an in-tank pump that went bad. (Walboro 255 HP HV) We used the same regulator, rail and injectors but we are having the above problems. If anyone has suggestions or ideas it would be greatly appreciated as we would still like tp make it to Edmonton on Sunday......

Thanx.
