We'll, firstly I'd like to thank all of the EPC members that came out to support the club. Honourable mentions go to the following:

bunch - for being the only EPC registered drag racer
lude_boy93
mike3
Copper
cflude

Unfortunately, some of our members (ManHunter, redmethods, BB6SE) were unable to attend this event for there own reasons. I hope to see you at the next one.

All in all, the event and the day was a success. The weather cooperated, the tent didn't blow away, and we represneted the club proudly. Heck, I even had a chance to meet some new perspective members

Once again, thank you all for registering or attending this event. Next year, it will be even bigger and better.

jonedir

My best run was a 15.238@93.07mph - not bad for my first time ever. I still need to learn how to launch though.

Overall i had a blast - weather was great, racing was awesome and i got to meet some new club members. :)

ps - anybody have any tips on launching?

littledan
in my very limited experience at launching, i find that if i rev to about 4k and feather out the clutch i don't bog and there's not too much wheelspin... it depends alot on your tires as well i would imagine

I'm getting a MSD Digital 6, which will do 2 things:

First and foremost, it will retard my timing automatically when my nitrous is engaged. And secondly, it has a rev limiter feature so you can pre program your launch rpms, I'm hoping this will help me!!
