I might be selling off my Eclipse to a buddy so I'll have no winter car.
I need a car for winter. I don't mind if it needs work, in fact, I want it to. As long as it's not flagged as written off (I don't mind frame damage - I get all my stuff professionally done) I'll consider anything. Rolled? Hit a pole? I don't care.
Body damage preferable, but if it's a blown engine/tranny I may consider.
It has to be somewhat newer, I'm not looking for an 87 Z24 here. I'd prefer mind 90's, but I'm open to early 90's if it's a decent car. It has to be WORTH fixing.
Post here or email me @ trevork@nait.ab.ca and let me know what ya got. |

| I have a turbo sprint with a stage 2 turbo and other stuff .. there is no interior and only one seat .... it's written off as salvage because the bumper is cracked and it has some underbody rust (but since the new laws you can get the salvage status lifted with a mechanics note), it also won't down shift into second.. but it still runs good and is really fast looiking for $1600 obo. here's some pics http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view...d=304078&page=5 |

| I have an 2nd Gen 86 RX7 GXL. Its the luxury model. Needs struts are rear bearings. Other then that, the motor only has 50xxxKm's on it and runs awesome. It also has 4 wheel disc brakes. THe brakes are 4 piston brakes so you got some good stopping power, It has LSD, it is RWD, its 5 speed, blue leather seats, power windows, power sunroof, power mirrors, factory alarm, Heater works really good. PM me offer. |

I've got a first gen CRX that i've been trying to get rid of. I have all parts it needs to run minus a new batery. This CRX has many new parts including clutch and shocks, I have all reciepts. The car had been stolen and parts stripped from it. I've replaced the old damaged ignition and bought a rad to replace the one that was taken out of the car. The only thing missing from the car now is body parts. (hood, front bumper, grill, pass fender, front lights) I've located the parts in the city and you could get everything needed for under 600.
I myself don't have the money to fix or insure this "sports" car. I just want to get rid of it...400 obo. Its worth more. |

Millhoods - Sorry, I need something a bit newer than that to put my $$ into.
Wookey - It sounds nice, but I need something really reliable, and every RX7 I've seen for sale says "new motor"
Black5Speed - Sorry, but if your car is in bad enough shape to be flagged as salvage only, I don't think it'll make a good winter beater for me.
Keep 'em coming guys - I'm still looking. |

Its very reliable! Its only if dumbasses out there dont maintain them properly. Mine has been. Lets put it this way. when it was -40C outside last winter my car's block heater was not plugged in and my parents 2002 Olds Bravada was plugged in. My car turned over once and started no problems whatso ever. My parents Bravada turned over like 10x and was squeeling like a mofo once it was started. The car honestly has no motor problems and is very reliable. I also have receipts for all the work that has been done to the car. |

Yup - I got money to spend on cars because I'll fix 'em, drive them through the winter then sell at a profit. I pretty much do this every winter, except my buddy wants to buy the car I bought for this winter (My eclipse), so I have to find something else...
I'll do some research tomorrow at work into the rotaries - the only problem I have is for 2500 I can get a car 10 years newer...
And I'll have to pass on the MR2 - I honestly don't think I'd fit in one. I PM'ed you back about the other one. |
