Whats the difference between the short ram intake and the cold air intake. And is it worth it (cold air intake)
Thanks

Xx D-MAN xX
The most noticeable difference between the two are the length of the intake chamber.

The true CAI air chamber extends thru the engine bay and stops in the inner fender wall area, behind the front bumper. This gets lots of fresh cold air into the intake.

The short ram, is just a replacement for the stock intake chamber with the filter located where your stock air box is. This is a complet waste, since you no longer have a sealed intake system and you are not getting that blast of cold air, since your air filter is sitting open in the engine bay sucking up all that heat thats emitting from the engine.

If you are truely looking for an intake system, either get a good air filter for your stock intake or get a true CAI (AEM).

That's just my 2 cents.

Short ram. Prelude engine. Heat. Bad.

AEM cold air, you won't regret it!!

Im not really in a rush. I thought you were though. I can wait till you go cause yeah I am parking my car this winter, and this is a mod that will be done sometime before spring. So anytime is good for me.

CAI sounds really nice on the prelude. don't get a short ram, it wont give anywhere near the power a CAI will (all 5-6hp that is ;) )

That's funny, I recall you saying that Matrix had previously quoted you @ $240.
That's why I matched it. Guess you can't believe everyone.

Sounds like you should go with the one that quoted you the price first. From my experience, the service at Matrix has been a little slow.

By no means, does the EPC condone price shopping or haggling between affiliated vendors.

As quoted:

"First and foremost, any special pricing our affiliated vendors provide us is considered a “privilege” for our members only. The EPC doesn’t expect to be guaranteed the lowest price, but to be provided with a “haggle free” price that is consistent to all of our members. Any special pricing that is provided will be available to our card carrying members only and will not be used as a means to get a better deal elsewhere. If this does happen, the member who is responsible will be dealt with accordingly."

My sincere appologies if any of the involved parties have been affended!
