f@ck ppl who stop in freeflow merge lanes!! :angry: probably one of those people who falls off a sidewalk when the look to their left.
so i'm following this lady in her new lexus SUV, and in the 20 seconds i'm following her she managed to veer into oncoming traffic having to swerve back to avoid an oncoming truck, THEN veers into the parking lane without a signal, nearly smoking a guy in a mcdonalds driveway (he's not even on the road yet!). i'm thinking to myself at this time 'this idiot better get off the road before she does something really stupid'.
so i follow her into the merging lane with caution. STUPIDITY PREVAILS. she slams (not a light stop, but slams) on her brakes to a stop within the first 8-9 metres of a 100metre merge lane. luckaly i stopped before i hit her, then WHAM my head flies into my headrest as my car lurches forward with the brakes depressed.
my friends brakes wern't up to the task and he rear ended mine. my car got a couple small scratches and a broken license plate frame. his loaner accords front end is totally fucked!
thank god it wasn't his prelude or i'd have felt really bad.
the front bumper is pushed back 5-6 cm on the right side and signal lights smashed. the popup headlight won't pop up without excessive prying, and still only comes up half way. the car is like it's winking as the motor tries over and over to lift it. the hood is bulged and won't open at all.
the lady comes out to check the damage on her non-hit lexus, then after giving me a 'my car looks ok for not being hit, not my fault i'm mentally retarded, seeya boys' look she drives to the end of the merge lane, stops completely, then procedes to wedge herself into the next round of traffic instead of driving when it was clear.
anyway a question, if you smash a loaner car while yours is in the shop, who payes the damage? he didn't sign any papers when he was given the loaner, they just threw him the keys.. |

I was rearended tonight, not a woman. This guy was a little feminine though!
Hopefully my car hasn't got too much damage under the bumper cover, this guy seemed alright and I don't want to have to cost him too much. But if shit needs fixing, well it's going to get done.

at about the time when she looked at you like it wasnt her fault, and got back into her car, ... i would of got the baseball bat outa my trunk and beat her with it for like a half an hour after she was dead. f@ck... that makes me mad. :angry:
sorry to hear about the accident.
oh and usually the loaner car is covered under the dealerships/shops insurance... but they could make you pay for the damages... NO WAIT... he never signed nothing, so tell em to get fucked. |

| unfortunately though.. she will never get hers, she'll just cause other accidents. Also, any person at any time can just.. stop in the middle of the road... 99.9% of the time if you rear-end someone, you're goin down :( |

You should've taken her license plate and report her. On the other end, unfortunately, whoever rear-ends somebody else is always at fault...
So, even though she was technically the cause of the accident, the police can say your friend was tailgating and wasn't paying attention.

Poeple who usually drive the biggest vehicle on the road are the ones who are usually trying to protect their own incapable driving skills. Their mentality is that if they have the bigger vehicle, they're not going to get hurt in the accident. In the meantime, said bigger vehicle, usually being and SUV, is a much harder vehicle to drive. The brakes must be depressed sooner to stop the heavier weight. Situations like that.
I've heard stories of how parents would buy their kids these vehicles cause they were terrified of them getting into an accident so why not protect them. Why not get them training to be a better driver.
Things I've learned thus far in life; people in general are stupid, unsanitary and lazy. How we've survived for so long baffles me. |

Two accidents here, got hit by a dumb blonder hairdesser in her brand new $50000 toyota 4 runner, heh i could hear here husband ripping her head off over the cell phone, and all the witnesses blamed me for the accident although i was the one to get rear ended(i would too, that bitch was HOT!!!), but ultimately i won and got $10000 richer.
the other accident, some guy ran a stop sign, although he wasnt a chick, he qualifys as one as he was pretty dam gay.
You should have gotten her plate number, and try have gotten the cops to give her shit. Just tell them she fled the scence of a crime hehe. |

i was going to jump in my car and chase her as she took off, but decided it would be better to stay with my friend and calm him down and make sure his car was still drivable (bumper is really fucked, it's almost touching the front tire).
these kind of drivers make me want to carry my 'sport equiptment' in my car again. adjust her mirrors with the hockey stick, untint the windows the co2 way.. :angry: |

i'd recognise her and her SUV if i saw them again, i'll be sure to get her plate.

From my experience, and from driving the yellowhead everyday, I find that the majority of fast/speeding and stupid drivers tend to be girls from 16-35 years old. And dangerously slow, stupid manouvers tend to be done by women 35 and up.
Of course there are lots of males that do this to, im just talkin majority.
I think that if you rearend somebody, it might be that the other person is a bad driver, but ultimately its your fault, you should always give enough room to be able to stop, You have to drive defensively knowing that there are lots of dumb drivers.

one time on 97th street.. some moron pulled out into the lane control lane which i was in .. I had to swerve outta the way to avoid teh head on collosion, stupid moron.. he was passing the guy in front of him.
thne another time... some guy is abt to run a yellow at an intersection, yet half way thru the intersection he decides to slam on his brakes!!! i was on his ass to make the light so i had to do some fancy drivng eheh.

Accident statistics would suggest that it is young males 16-25 who have the most collisions and not females. Any irresponsible idiot can cause an accident, male or female.

I've found that men and women do things equally stupid on the road. There's only 1 difference between them:
Women are oblivious and don't realize the stupid things they are doing
Men know, in advance, that what they are about to do is stupid, but they go ahead and do it anyways.

| With a loner the shop is responsible for paying for the damage. Unless you sighned something saying you take all liability then its not your problem. A buddy of mine who owns a body shop is getting rid of most of his loaners for just that reason. Its a nice option to give a customer to have a loaner but he says they are smashing them up way to much. So he is having one or two for real long term work and getting a shop vehicle for giving everyone rides to and from the shop. |
