looks sharp and clean but IMHO 18's would be  not ideal for alberta roads at all.. go with 17's...or even 16's and just lower sidewall.

superpirate25
Looks pretty good. If there's one bad thing it's that I noticed the word "APC" a few times too many in the mod list. :D

I like this....

hmm i was not aware, im new to the site and whatnot, yah the reason for the apc stuff was that I can get a great deal on it, so asfor the apc-pedals,shifter- those will all definatly be gone come spring, there just on there to tide me over, if u will.
the aluminum mesh is apc, but who can tell, and i have since removed some shitty red apc sidemarker bulbs. So once I get some stuff sorted out, rims, install etc then I will deff get momo, Ive always liked momo but at the time didnt have 100$ to drop for pedals and 120$ for a shift knob.

afor the rim size I really want 18's, allthough I would cry if they were to get damaged due to the road. I have quite some time to deciede so I'll likly know when the time comes.

thx for checking out my site, aswell as your input, Ill TTY guys later, peace

Those chrome things???

They don't belong on a sporty car IMO.

No they just dont belong on anything.

Keith303
fine fine, I personally like the rims, but I have had some rather negitive feedback towards them, I have while yet to decide, maybe a nice 5 spoke will catch my eye.
as for the money pic, its legit

SplineZ
I have always been a fan of the 2 tone DSM's... the black spoiler totally does it :)

Those big chromers would look ok on something a pimp car, but on a sports car they are just far too heavy. They'd sap alot of power outta your car.. Get some lighter wheels, and you'd be set. I the avg weight for those chromers are around 25lbs for 17" wheel.. thats heavier than most stock wheels, and steelies..

James Z

Keith303
yah true that, but I am gonna have a 300lb sub box, subs/amps included, so the whole weight saving thing kinda gets thrown out the window there, my stock wheels are 16" @ 19 pounds, so that would be about 10 pounds extra per wheel, so 40 pounds more, thats not even the weight of one of my subs :(

SplineZ
unsprung weight is slightly different than "sprung" weight. I cant remember the specifics :)

doesnt hurt to save where ya can if a stereo is essential

James Z

Keith303
I will participate in comps when i can, with a heavy system will make it less temping to race people however. where I win in not getting speeding tickets Ill undoubtly get some tickets for my stereo

TaLoN
first off rims are :gay:

why would u want to get rims that cost more then the car itself.

Next about the stereo 15's arnt always the best subs for sound comps, ive herd 10's that are louder then 15's, its all about your amp and the type of box u have. but I think more than anything its a prefrence on what sound u like better. I think 10's have a better crisper sounding bass to them rather then the 15's. But other then that sweet car and will probably see you at one of the dsm meets.

TaLoN

SplineZ
it depends on what he's going for... 15's are decent for SPL's.. simply because of surface area..

assuming all things equal... 2 10's will play louder than 1 12 or 1 15, 2 15's will play like 3 10's, etc.

it also depends on the box, sealed boxes are great for SQ, but for SPL they are not effecient enough. Ported boxes play louder than sealed boxes with the same power, but they will distort more, and bandpasses are the same.

I use sealed boxes, cuz then i can beat the shit out of my subs, and not worry about bottoming them out often :)

James Z

Keith303
well the rims would not cost more than the car or even come close, second 15's have more cone erea therefor capable of producing greater base, thx for the complement on my car tho

TyPhOOnSliPPerY
:gay:
...seriously keith303 go home and put your fast and furious attitude away

TaLoN
of course they have bigger cone area but 2 15s would give 30 inchs of area as u put it so why noy get three 10s which also equals 30 inchs of area but has a much crisper cleaner sounding bass. Think about it as two wht type of music u listen to. If u listen tomusic with alot of bass like dance tecno trance etc. the bigger area will make your sub miss a bass frequence because it will take longer for the sub to go all the up and down while 2 or more bass frequancys have already passed. therfore if u have a smaller sub but more of them gives u the same area but wont miss as many frequancy. Then again im not an expert so dont quote me on it. And about your rims your right maybe not more then your car but with rubber pretty close.

Keith303
k typhoon, your a f@cking loser...Yes im a wana be F&F......., I found that most that people on this forum are better for bitching about something and giving uneeded/unwanted advice than what the forum is designed for. Theres only afew people that were atleast helpfull to me and didnt ignorantly give their own opionions and for that I thank you. With 3 10" power hx2's thats 3000wrms
2 15" is 2000rms therefor same surface area and less power needed, not to mention that 2 15"s will easily get higher db than 3 equal 10's.

Everyone is gonna hate on me cause I street race time to time, Like you guys never have.....I dont really give 2 fucks what any1 thinks about that. I didnt know that when I mentiond that race it was like saying f@ck in a church, I think you guys need to lighten up and stop acting like little bitches.

p.s not splinez hes cool

djshortys
hey i seen this car before, he tryed to race me at a light..and i was like AHH WTF...

andy!

Keith303
what kind of car were u in and where was it?
