Ok I was driving and this person changes lanes in front of me and slams on her brakes, I hit mine and slid into the back of her. My truck was smashed pretty good, and when the cop comes to do up a accident report, he give me a ticket for dangerous driving. But right after he gives it to me he tells me to fight it cuz it will most likely be reduced to a following to close or something like that. So I got my truck fixed ($5000 ) now I gotta go this week to work out this tiicket, or I wont be driving for a few years. Anyhting I should know before I go??
Thanks.

I would recommend talking to a lawyer first... :)

"Free consultation" and then go whine to the prosecutor...

I don't have any particular advice since I never fought the one I got. All I can tell you is do everything you can to not get that ticket. That is, if you feel like driving anytime soon.

Go and speak the the crown prosecuter before your trial date. Plead your case and see what he says. Seeing a lawyer first may help to, so you can ask them all your questions and atleast you will be prepared to speak to the crown.

Here is a website for ticket defense specialists. I cannot suggest any specific one but here's a few to choose from. I think pretty much all of them will give a free consultive app't.
