You must be retarded. Driving in a straight line is for monkeys. Tell me Blaine, how hard it is to run down the 1/4 in a DSM. Wow, rev to red-line, dump the clutch, and shift a couple times. Oooohhhhhh sounds like lots o skill involved. Give me a break, unless you're running 9's your mom could do it.
It takes talent to be fast? Holy crap, thats even dumber than your last post. It takes MONEY!!!! |

If you can get a high powered DSM down the track without destroying your tranny, that takes some skill :)

I guess we have a nation full of monkeys then.

Not that hard to do, but to do it well and CONSISTENTLY takes skill. If you have insane MPH but a high e.t. that reflects on driver skill.

This statement would be akin to me saying that all autocrossing requires is the simple use of two gears and sticky tires to drive between some pylons. I know it isn't true, the driver's who do well have technique and skill.

Now you have shown your true colors. If you have talent and skill, you don't need much money. Mitusman's car clicked off an 11.95, I figure he has ~$8000 Retail in parts invested in his car and a shitload of time in design, labor and research.
I am not sure what THEONE has spent on the latest redesign of his machine but I know it is at least double that of Mitsuman's. He has managed to click off 11.3's with consistency and the luxury of an additional power adder. This isn't a shot at either competitor but do you see how time, thought and system engineering play a major role in drag racing? Does the .6 second differential equate to the financial cost?
I have seen it many times, the SAME car will go SIGNIFICANTLY faster with a skilled driver behind the wheel as opposed to the OWNER of the car.
Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one and the other guys always stinks worse than yours does. I don't like slaloming in a rat pack on a back road. I like drag racing, it is what I grew up with and hence I can appreciate how much time, effort and skill it takes to go FAST CONSISTENTLY.
Oh, by the way, arguing on the internet is like running in the special oympics, even if you win you are still retarded. Oh wait, in your opinion I already am. :thefinger: |

You felt like giving your opinion, of course on something you're not interested in, and had to post something negative. What, did you think no one would disagree with you? If you're gonna come in and put down driving on twisty roads and talk crap about drag racing being where it's at of course people are gonna flame you, you're just asking for it, and i think you know that and wanna get reactions out of people. The same thing happens when some dipsh@t comes in and posts the same kind of response in a drag racing thread, they start a flame war. As for the special olympics comment, i think you should get a new one, cause not only have i seen it written by you MANY times, it's probably a little offensive to some people on the board(how would you feel about that if you're little brother was mentally handicapped and really was in the special olympics? A public board is not the place for comments like that). What, are people gonna come down to the shop and argue with you about something pointless such as this? It's way more convenient to bitch at each other on the board. |

| ya.. ummm... takes some real talent to pimp out the "mustang" of imports and stomp on the accelerator and zoom down a STRAIGHT piece of track   :gay:.... takes talent to save up/make the kinda money to put a car into the 12's and lower... doesn't take talent to drive a car down a straight line, twisties are where it's at. go build another non-existent twin turbo supercharged NOS car :thefinger: |
