| I have a datsun i want to make into a ice racer. i was wondering if it was illegal to tow it to the races? is there any laws or rules i shouold be aware of? |

What points i have to use for building them, what grade of steel etc....Just a basic rundown, i can fabricate stuff well if i put my mind to it :) |

| By NHRA rules, the bar has to be welded in. I'm not sure about Ice Racing, but i hear that for road racing sanctions, they bars can be bolted in. A door bar and halo etc will be needed. I think it has to be a minimum of 1.5" diameter bar, with a .120 wall thinkness. Something like that. Stiffest place to put the bar in the rear would be the wheel wells, or straight back into the trunk above the frame rails. Don't quote me, but I think its something like that. |
