That depends on ur mass in kg and the duration u play for.
I had to do a project in which i had to record my food intake and energy expenditure for 3 days straight. _That was a bitch, just gettin all the little details down.
To calculate how much calories we used for an activity we had numbers called MET values or metabolic equivalent values.
For a general game of basketball, non-competitive (ie like pick up games or soemthing) the research gives it a 6.0 value.
To find the calories expended, multiply the MET value by ur mass in kg then by the time in hrs.
Calories = MET x kg x hrs.
The BEST way to lose weight is a combination of activity and DIET!!! _do a calculation and look how long it takes to burn off the same amount of calories of say, a BIG MAC. _Which is approx 450Cal or more!!!!!
IF ur total calorie intake is lower then the calories u expend in a day, u are on ur way to slimmer body.
