Hey all, l8ly my g/f has been blowin me off to hang out w/her friends. Usually she invites me, but now she says she doesn't want me around. So I tried talkin to her about it and she gets all defensive. We have been seeing eachother for about a yr and a half, and I thought everything was fine, but l8ly (last month or 2) its all about what she wants, when she wants, where she wants. Its all about her, she has become very narcistic, and doesn't seem to care.
I don't know where to start, or even what to do; I mean I love this girl and everything, but she doesn't seem to care what I think, or how I feel (I know it may sound lame, but whatever) anymore. In her eyes, when I try to talk to her about things, she thinks I am trying to change her or something; I am not, just curious what is happening to us, but she doesn't talk, just fights with me.
We made plans to do something today, she called one of her friends, found out about a party, and decided that it was more important, I wanted to talk to her about this, instead it turned into a fight, where she acts like she is going to slap me or something, for wanting to TALK??? wtf
Maybe this relationship has just run its course, or maybe she just doesn't want to be with me anymore, I don't know, and I am a guy, so I can't read minds. Why can't women just say what they think, instead of dance around the bush? |

well, there is obviously a problem and it just seems like she's trying to avoid it.
if i were to interpret her actions, i'd say that for whatever reason, she may be anticipating a breakup and so now, she's doing everything she can to be prepared for it. (hence, going out with her friend's more, putting them in higher priority, ignoring you).
but to the least, i'd say that she still wants to be with you because if she has to do all these things to feel less for you, then there might just be another reason for the sudden distance and odd behaviour.
because really now, if a girl wants a breakup and she has no regrets/qualms in doing so, she'd JUST DO IT.
maybe your approach is simply offensive. trying acting "hurt" or something and ask her to see some things in your perspective. if you approach her mad or give off vibes like "it's all her fault".. there isn't going to be much understanding or mercy. |

| Well its definately nice to here it from a girls point of view, however, I have tried approaching this every way I know how. From being all nice to freaking out, and all I get is the exact same thing, either she doesn't have time to talk/maybe l8r etc. Its driving me up a wall, she won't even let me speak, I try to tell her how I am feeling in the most civil way I can, and she interupts me, EVERY time, I can't finish sentences, it just doesn't seem that its that important to her. |

Ya, I think you hit the nail on the head, a mutual friend between the 2 of us just called me. Asked me what was going on, I really don't know is what I told him, asked him why he asked. He said he just talked to her and she told him that she broke up w/me.
Oh well, 2 things I have learned in my short 21 yrs living

shitty man. sorry to hear. but you're young, and if you've been reasonable with your woman, and she still treats you like shit, sometimes you gotta think about yourself. obviously you care about the girl, but you can't be the only one caring in in the relationship, because then it isn't a relationship...it's just a compromise.
if you're ready, break it off, or at least tell her it seems that she doesn't wanna be with you, so perhaps she'd be happier without you.
i dunno. tough call. |

I don't know what I want yet, I know i feel as if I am trying to drive the wrong way down a one way street about this. Not sure what is actually going to happen, seeing as she won't actually talk to me yet. I am sure that I deserve better, and I think that is the route I am going to take. Like Scintillater said, I am young, have lotsa time left in my life :) (knock on wood) and have a pretty good idea how to make myself happy. I think I need to worry about me a little more, and her a LOT less.
For those who took the time out to actually give me useful advice, and helpful perspectives, I thankyou. Its nice to be able to talk to ppl about things like this, especially when it feels like no one is there.
Maybe I will see everyone at the meet tonite :) be nice to put a face to the names. |

Well man.....from her telling her friend you guys are broken up already, I can't see any more plain writing on the wall of how she feels. Sounds like she is just wanting you to break it off so shes not the one that ends it and makes you hurt for dumping you.
Take it from me, your young and have tons of time in your life to get serious. go have some fun. At your age and hers, you guys are gonna be doing the most changing in your lives as to whats priority and such. And chances are the directions ytou two will be taking wont be the same. I got married really young and we did exactly that....grew in different directions and we tried to make it work but there was no chance. By the end we were 2 different people.
So do it like a band aid.......right off quick and painless. Go have some fun and don't worry about it. By the looks of things she has already moved on....time you do to......better for your own sanity. |

| Hehehe omg, that was just too funny! Anywho, I think all the advice you need has been given to you man. Some advice I would recommend after a year and a half relationship, is to just take it easy. Dont go looking for girls right off the bat. Enjoy the single life for a little bit ( dont know how long it will take, just go with how you feel about it ). Though, one thing that seems to be kinda wierd, if your not looking for a girlfriend, one tends to attract more girls. Its kinda funny how that sometimes works. |

| ok i went through this this a little while ago, she is felling unhappy and dosnt really know what i s going on. just do what ever hang out with her and then when somthing comes up and she is going outy wityh her friends go out with yours, buth here is the thing there will come a time when she will want you to stay and do somthing with her and all you have to do is go out with your friends. dont fret over it it is just a phase it happens usually around 3 months, a year, a year and a half and then a gain around 2 and 1/2 years it passes though. i hope this helpes a bit |

| I honestly dont know about the revenge factor guys, making out or going out with some other chick in front of the ex is funny as hell, but you know damn well that if she did it back, it would hurt just as f@cking bad. I broke up with my ex 1yr ago, she met some aussie and within 2 mths, they were engaged. That hurts..... but if you are done with her, my advice would be to just forget her (hard i know) and keep yourself busy by workin on your ride. :wacko: |

I don't know, I am just keepin myself busy, hangin out w/friends, and working on cars. I decided I have tried hard enough, so no more trying to get in touch with her, nothing. I got better things to do.

As dumb as this sounds i found in my experince it worked. But my Ex and i of 5 years broke up just cus it wasnt working we totally hated each other everything and i found out the worse i treated her the more names i called her and no matter how many other girls ive been with with she just kept calling me and wanting me back more. It seems dumb but no offence to the girls on this board but Women are messed. And even After me and my girlfriend have been living togther for a year now i still get calls from the every once in a while so basically i know this has no real point to it but just like everyone else said Go out and party :beer: Be safe and have fun and miss right will come when your least expecting it.

my (now) ex wife left me and treated me like shit at the end,
i tried to get her to come back and talk about it and she basically told
me to forget it ,its not ment to be......then......i leave her alone for a month and a half continue with my life and her living with her new man, and
now she calls me everyday asking to come home and she made a mistake..
guess that grass wasnt so green over there...oh well too little too late.
but you women do that the "nice" guys who treat a lady like a lady get shit
on and told the "i like you as a friend" or the "its not you its me" lines to find
a day later shes dating a loser that doesnt give a crap about her other than
SEX and he treats her like shit too....but she loves it...
